  1. Komatösm, thanks. I checked "Tools" and found "Tablet input method" which by default was set to "low precision" and on it I can reproduce this bug easily. Changed it to "High precision", restarted AffinityPhoto and could not reproduce it in 1 minute test. Need to test it more, but I hope this fixes the problem. P.S. for me bug almost never happens if I draw longer stokes (as in rattlekin's video) but it is very easy to reproduce it when drawing dot and trying to do very-very small stroke from it, its almost like tap-lift-pen-tap-again and so on - and its very often makes big dot as if pen was pressed fully very hard to the tablet.
  2. rattlekin, thanks for detailed videos. I hope they can fix this ASAP, good that I'm not alone here.
  3. thanks, will wait for update. I do not want to buy new tablet just because Affinity new version suddenly does not work, which I purchased to work with tablet for retouching. And my tablet is perfectly fine and it has latest drivers (by its model) from wacom website. so I hope this will be fixed from your side..
  4. Version of wacom driver: 5.3.5-3 This is the latest one that is officially supported for "Wacom Bamboo Fun Pen & Touch" device:
  5. Hello, attaching video. I turned on "click-sound" so you can hear when I tap on Wacom tablet with pen. All taps in this video are with the same physical hand pressure, but as you can see - randomly it gets bugged. Every 3rd or 5rd press - pressure does not get registered by Affinity and it puts big dot as it was pressed with a mouse. I tired other software outside Affinity - and Wacom pressure works fine, so it is not tablet or PC problem. Tried every possible setting in Wacom control panel (including "use windows ink on/off") - no matter what settings I use, only in Affinity its bugged. Any suggestions what more I could try or any workaround? Impossible to work on retouch with this bug now and I only use Affinity for this specific thing.. Windows 10 latest version Affinity Photo latest version Tablet - Wacom Bamboo Fun Pen & Touch latest version drivers PC parameters way above recommended ones 20210303_221011.mp4
  6. Thanks for reply. With Wacom painting tablet it is more frustrating, but with simple mouse setup, you can try this to trigger problems: 1) Paint something on blank page with paint brush 2) Press "Alt" 3) Press "Ctrl+Z" and "Undo" function will NOT work. You will need to press "Alt" again to "turnt off" triggered "File menu" and only then "Ctrl+Z" to make "Undo" function work (doing retouching with tablet tis gets triggered often) OR 1) Paint something 2) Press "Alt" 3) Press "Space" and it will trigger "File menu" opening.. While with tablet I just want to move around/pan image which I do very often when retouching zoomed close into photo.
  7. I am also looking for a solution. When I press ALT - "File" menu on top gets triggered and its impossible to work with smoothly with Wacom tablet or mouse, when this happens. lets say I am using Healing Brush Tool or Clone Brush Tool - they both require CONSTANT ALT key pressing to sample something - and EVERY time top of the "File" menu opens! Also when it is triggered - Undo (Ctrl+Z) does not work and I need to press AGAIN - ALT or ESC key so it exits damn "File" menu! I tested in Adobe, File menu also gets highlighter but it does NOT bug next key pressing. ALSO I found this video solution with AutoHotkey software and "Alt_menu_acceleration_DISABLER.ahk" macro, file which completely disables ALT menu triggering, BUT it works in all other programs (including adobe), but still does not work in Affinity Photo... Moved from adobe to affinity (v1.8.5) and this problem is so frustrating, impossible to work smoothly with retouching. This thread is almost 4 years old, I can not believe there is no solution to fix this. Maybe it is at least possible to remap ALT to CTRL (or similar key) trough keyboard shortcuts in affinity? Could not find option to this..
