  1. To clarify: - The Beta worked for a short time and then stopped working. Unable to save or export, just like the version 1.10.4. - The issues (as discovered in other forums and/or threads is multi-monitor support). It worked fine before the 12.0.1 Mac OS update. - The problems I had with shortcuts for keys was tangental, isolated to the Beta, and not meant to become an issue on this thread. Had I known it was going to become such a talking point, I would have never brought it up. I just need Affinity to fix the program so that it runs friendly with Mac 12.0.1 If I were the only one having this problem, I could understand the delay, but there are several threads with people going through the same thing. So far, the only fix is to unplug all external monitors. I am not going to do that.
  2. Has there been any forward movement on this problem? I am still unable to save or export on my Mac since the latest update. I don't mean to sound trite, but it kind of makes Affinity Photo worthless. Please help Affinity. :-?
  3. Ok, after much experimenting, the problem seems to be with external monitors. I have three in my studio connected to my Macbook Pro and the only way I was able to get the "Save As" menu to appear was to unplug all of the monitors and use the laptop display. This needs to be fixed, Affinity. Please!
  4. This is killing me. Can't export or save anything. Beta doesn't help. C'mon, Affinity. Please fix this. I make a living using your program for work and I can't get my work done, now.
  5. I tried that. I went into the Preferences menu/keyboard shortcuts to add them again. However, the custom keyboard shortcuts that are in the official version are not in the Beta version. I cannot find ANY shortcuts for adjustment settings. They were in the previous versions. That's the reason for my post - I was afraid that they changed these shortcuts in upcoming versions.
  6. I take it back. The Beta allowed me to save and export for a short time. It stopped working again. I am unable to save or export my work.
  7. Well, it works... sort of. All of the shortcuts are broken. For instance, "Shift-B" normally pulls up the Brightness/Contrast adjustment. No longer. Now it selects the brush tool. I can't find a shortcut for the Brightness/Contrast adjustment, anywhere. Please tell me you guys won't keep it this way. These adjustment shortcuts are critical when using a drawing tablet.
  8. Just upgraded my Macbook to Monterey 12.0.1. Using Affinity Photo 1.10.4 Now, whenever I try to export or save a file, I get nothing. Export menu will at least pop up and ask what type of file I would like to export it to, but I get no save menu. Clicking "save as" does absolutely nothing. Program will not fully close and is not saving preference settings either. Checked the Permissions menu in System preferences and Affinity has Full Disk Access, just as before. Just lost a large project because of this. Very upset. Please help.
  9. Will do and yes, it started after the 1.10.3 update. Thanks for the great support.
  10. Just updated Affinity to the latest version today. When zooming in and out quickly using the mouse wheel, program froze twice on me in an hour. Had to force close and restart project. Ouch. Everything on my Mac is up-to-date. This is the first time I've experienced this problem.
  11. When having so many tabs open, it is difficult to read the tabs because the font is so small and not adjustable, especially on a 4K monitor. Besides font size, It would be even nicer to be able to color the tabs - manually or automatically, to help differentiate and/or separate them and make them easier to find. Thanks for the wonderful program and dedicated support.
  12. I second this. Just updated as well and it works great. Thanks again.
  13. I'll second this statement. It does seem to be getting worse as one uses the program. Thank you again for your time on this.
  14. Thanks. Before you updated it, the slider box would automatically pop up when you clicked an adjustment. Now, you have to click the "Default" preset to get it to pop up. As I mentioned, I have the exact same setup on my PC at home (same amount of monitors, too) and it works without issue. On my Mac, it is hit or miss. I honestly liked it better the way it was before the update where it would just pop up. And to be completely honest, I have never used or liked the default presets at all. Every photo is different and I like to just go straight to the sliders and make my changes. I suppose for the soccer mom editing her weekend photos for a scrapbook, the presets are nice, but from professional level editing, they just get in the way. As I mentioned in a previous post, it would be more useful to have the option to simply eliminate the presets altogether and just have a slider box present at all times. As a long time Photoshop/Lightbox user, I have enjoyed Affinity very much and haven't looked back since switching. Hopefully we can work the bugs out. Please let me know if you need more help or info. 🙂
  15. "Separated Mode" is already unticked. It is not allowing me to reattach the slider adjustment window. Attached is a screenshot of my monitor.
  16. Not sure how to reattach the slider window to the main window, but I am not in "Separated Mode". I am in "Merge All Windows" mode. All of the adjustment windows are the only things I have separated from the main window.
  17. I have the slider adjustment panel separated from my main window because I am using two monitors (plus my Macbook, for a total of three). That is how I use it and have always used it. I don't want it attached to my main window because it takes up space. I have the same setup in my home office on a Windows PC and it works flawlessly. Also, it worked fine on my Mac before you guys updated it. Yes, I am on Big Sur and everything is up-to-date. Please fix this.
  18. I am having this exact same problem and it is driving me batty! I have Affinity photo on my PC at home and everything works. You click the "Default" preset on any adjustment and the sliders will appear. On my MacBook Pro at work, the sliders will sometimes pop up. Sometimes they just won't. Sometimes you have to click the damn preset 12 times before they appear. Sometimes they just won't appear at all no matter how many time you click. WTF?? I'm not sure what you guys did in the update, but you dun-broke the sliders on my Mac and it is aggravating as hell.
  19. Would you please make it possible to customize the adjustment menu, such as allowing the removing of presets (even the default ones) since I never use them. Being able to remove features that I never use, like "Posterize" and/or "Invert". It would go a long way to helping decluttering the workspace.
