I opened the affinity photo program today and it said that there was a new version, but nothing happens, I also looked at my account, under download, but there was nothing here either? help wanted

I just bought Affinity Photo from you guys, I had a trial program on my computer, but now I have bought and wanted to install this. then there comes a message that I need to update, but it fails. help is required

Hello members.
I have a photo that I would like to add some snow or look frozen. this basket I would like to put this on the lower part of the basket, any suggestions for that? It's because I'm making a Christmas basket and wanted to see what it might look like before I put it on since it can't be taken off again.
