This is fantastic news! The ONLY reason I continue to use PS is for compatibility with the Google Nik plugins. 
 
So now for the stupid question: How do I install (or "make available") the Nik plugins for Affinity? I'm not currently on a computer that has Google Nik installed, but will be later when I go to my office. Does Affinity auto-magically find the plug-in? 
 
And if I wanted to use Nik with Affinity on my current non-PS installed machine, what steps do I take?

I know the plugin support is coming, and I can wait, but I was wondering if there was any tentative schedule as to when we could expect high profile plugins like Topaz and NIK to function properly. Not a hard-and-fast drop-dead date, but some kind of indication as to whether we are taking about 3 weeks or 3 months.
 
Since launch is coming in 3 days it would be nice to know if we could expect normal plugin functionality in the near or far future.

I looked on vimeo for a tutorial explaining how to create a luminosity mask using AP, but had no luck finding anything. Does anyone have a good set of instructions on how to create a luminosity mask using AP? It would help me stop using the OnOne Suite to create the mask.

Never mind. Found it in the keyboard shortcuts.
 
The instructions say to use Cmd-Shift-Click but that does not work if you click on the image. You must click on the thumbnail for the layer you want to create the luminosity mask for and then it works. Perhaps that information should be added to the keyboard shortcut list.
