  1. For example I have a large custom shape / multiple shapes which makes the overall size LARGER than the "box" even that it does fit inside the box that the automatic slice creates. I must manually resize the created slice from the group, but it won't stick to the graphics when I move it... I hope there is a way to do this, because it's a very slow workflow when I must update a huge document and move things around all the time.
  2. Many of my slices must be custom, so the automatic are not accurate to my goals. Isn't there a way to "stick" any custom already made slices to the graphics when I move them?
  3. Hello, I have a large document with lots of sliced graphics most of them are inside groups so it's easy to move them together as "blocks". I need to organize and update this large document all the time, but whenever I move some of the groups that contain graphics, the slices stay in place... It is too much of a time consuming to move the slices manually again to match to so many graphics, and whenever I decide to re-organized it again to do this again and again... Is there a way to move GRAHICS + SLICES together as one just like if the slices will stick to it's graphics? I'm using the latest version of Affinity Designer 2.2.0 Thanks ahead! 🙏
  4. Ohhh... I'm still on 2.0.4 that's why it's different, I see. For the first time Affinity didn't let me know like usually that there is a new version... so I missed it.
  5. You need to select something with the Move Tool first. It appears also in your screenshots, it's placed on the LEFT from the "Convert to Curves" button.
  6. Thanks! that saved the day! I'm used to double click AGAIN if I want to go 1 level inside.
  7. Hello, I'm not sure if I changed something by mistake or it's a default since the latest update. Using the MOVE TOOL and click on one of my assets on the canvas, used to select the top FOLDER instead of what's inside (I have many folders inside folders per asset). I used to Ctrl + Mouse Click to select specific / individual SHAPE INSIDE a folder. Now - when I use the MOVE TOOL it will select the specific shape inside all the FOLDER hierarchy, and that's really hard for me to select specific folders instead of specific shapes. I just double checked in Affinity Designer v1 and this is how I prefer v2 to work as well... Did I change something by mistake? (I would like to know what I did to change this) How can I bring the way it was before to be my default? Thanks ahead 🙏
  8. Thanks for trying to help I appreciate it Unfortunately that's not solving my problem: My goal is to make so many tasks as fast as possible. I'm trying to save clicks for such a simple task, and this is also very long consider I do this task A LOT on my workflow, just imagine doing this (or the way I show in my video example) again, again and again... So... I think that the problem is that in Affinity Designer there is no shortkey for the Alignment Button and it's Buttons inside. (not Layer Alignment). If there was either that or a way to make a macro-shortkey (series of commands like in Photoshop) in 1 click, that could be REALLY helpful not just for this specific task but for any repeatable series of commands for big projects.
  9. I've tried that with new shortcut the options but there are no such action such as vertical first, then horizontal then make sure it's based on Last Selected so it's not working. From what I've tried Align Middle and Align Center or Bottom are not working exactly the same as I use the Alignment menu as I show... also there is no option to choose the controls for "Align to: Last Selected" etc.. Is there a way to create shortcut from that specific Alignment Menu? instead of Layer Alignment which not working for what I'm trying to achieve in 1-Click
  10. Hello, After selecting the objects I want to align to the last selected one, I found myself clicking a lot on: 1. Alignment Menu 2. Align Horizontally 3. Align Vertically 4. Apply Example: Since it's basically: "Align to Center" of the last object selected * sadly there is no such button or hotkey for that to my knowledge. (or is it hidden?) Is there a way I can make a HOTKEY to do these 4 steps in 1 Click ? I use that a lot and a shortcut for this will make a HUGE different in my workflow. If there is a way to do that, please explain step-by-step so I can follow. Thanks ahead for anyone who helps! 🙂
  11. The eye was just one simple example from many much more complicated groups of shapes I use, so I have no choice to convert to curves, I was hoping to be able to still manipulate without twist the shapes inside my groups but it's fine I'll just make another layer-backup for each one before I bake it... it's kind of primitive and will have lots of duplicated layers but no actual solution without converting to curves. Thank you for trying to help I appreciate your kindness
  12. I never knew about this Baking option, NICE! Basically it's like when I convert it to curves, but I believe that now I can keep tweak the shape before baking. I will give that a try. EDIT: It seems like - baking that specific layer is just like 'Convert to Curves' which does the same... I can scale.. but can't manipulate the shape again, so I guess I'll just do that since it's impossible in designer. THANKS!
  13. I think you got this! I'm not sure what are you doing there.. I tried to select my group again, but I don't see these options Can you show the tools step by step from my example file from scratch please? Thanks ahead!
  14. I'm also using a group on my example above. But again, how can I do that without convert the shapes to CURVES? I've attached an example file, maybe you'll be able to tell me where I go wrong? Thanks ahead! Test Scaling without Twist the ORIGINAL shape.afdesign
