  1. Apparently this particular icc file wasn't included when the software was being written. It is GRACol2006_Coated IV22.icc I can see all the other icc files and this one was somehow omitted. I am using a 2020 iMac running Monterey macOS, version 12.6.2 with Affinity Suite, 2.3.1. Thanks for any help you can give me. Dail
  2. Someone questioned why run v1 and v2 at the same time on one computer. I need to do that for the moment until the others that I work with finish upgrading to v2. I have files in v1 that just need for example a date change. If I have both versions for a while I could make that change easily in v1 and it would be available for my team to use until we are all happily on v2 together.
  3. Thanks for the response. I shall continue with a new project.
  4. Updated Publisher to 1.9 on my MacBook Pro (early 2011) running El Capitan, 10.11.6. On launch of updated Publisher, message said 10.12 or newer would be required. I'd rather not switch to newer OS because of a few apps that won't work on newer OS. Will 1.9 run on 10.11.6? It launches, opens files, and seems to work. What will I be missing?
  5. Don't know if you are counting, but please add my name to your requests for capability of opening InDesign files in Publisher. I have 15 years of work in CS 2. A lot of it I still open and copy things to bring them forward into current files. Or I rework older files for a current project. No longer an option for me since my G5PPC finally died and those old Adobe apps won't run on my MacBook Pro. A lot of work to recreate everything in Publisher, even though I am enjoying working with this application. Thanx
  6. Hi Walt, I certainly appreciate all your suggestions and help with this issue. It somehow has resolved itself. I didn't change anything so I'm not sure how or why, but it seems to now be working just how you described that it should. Makes me wonder if I have some sort of conflict on my computer. Anyway, thanks so much. Dail
  7. I am mostly working in the preview mode shown in the image on the right so I don't have to look at all the text boxes. In that mode if I select a text box, you are right, then there is only one box highlighted, the active one. Dail
  8. Hmmmmm, I just checked and I do have Show Text Flow turned off. I am assuming that the trial version I am working in at the moment has all it's features fully functional since I didn't find anything advising that certain things might be disabled in the trial version. All the text boxes for everything are showing unless I put the file in preview mode. I am currently working in that mode as much as possible because all the clutter really does bother me a lot. Mostly because I'm not used to it I'm sure. Thanks, Dail
  9. I agree with Shaneberlin. Trying to migrate over to Affinity from InDesign. The text box frames are really distracting when trying to design. Makes the page look so cluttered it is hard to tell what you are doing. A keyboard shortcut toggle to turn them on and off without affecting the column guides and margins would sure be nice. Is there a wish list we could add this to for future versions? Publisher has a lot of other features InDesign doesn't that I really like, but the design is the most important thing. Gotta keep the client happy, right? Thanks, Dail
