  1. This happened to me multiple times in the last month, very frustrating.
  2. It would be nice (faster workflow) to be able to create a fill layer from the layer window. It also would increase discoverability of this feature, I thought there was no support for fill layers. (I searched for "solid color", and also looked through all the different layers accessible from the layer window) I also see there is a pattern layer now. There are like over 30 different kinds of layers that can be created from the layer window, doesn't make much sense to exclude 2 (fill layers / pattern layers), or am I missing something here?
  3. So, using hw acceleration or intel or nvidia (rtx 2070 super) renderer don't seem to make much difference. Behaviour generally is a bit random, once they appeared after around 10s, but mostly >30. However, it seems I found a workaround, using the WARP renderer, most of the time the thumbnails are rendered within 5 seconds!
  4. This happens regardless if HW acceleration if on or off. (both show without thumbnails for more than 30s) (Main difference is that with HW acceleration on, it seems it takes a lot longer to load the file before the hierarchy is even displayed)
  5. @Callum Sure: Ok here is the behaviour after I open the file: Half a minute later or maybe even more:
  6. I get the feeling that the layer thumbnails disappear quite often, I can reproduce it by moving around layers in a heirarchy and then do undo. However most of the time when I reproduce it, they come back quickly, so perhaps it just takes a very long time to generate them sometimes? However this makes it hard to work sometimes as I cannot see which layer is which.
  7. Right click does nothing when using a brush etc. This seems like missed opportunity to improve workflow. Why not, for instance, be able to right-click and drag to zoom in/out? Or display the 4 main brush options as sliders?
  8. Thanks for this workaround! To me, this workaround also makes it is blatantly clear this is a bug and not a feature... PLEASE FIX!
  9. Using mouse wheel to zoom in (from 100%): 125 -> 156.3 -> 195.3 etc Using mouse wheel to zoom out (from 100%): 80 -> 64 -> 51.2 etc Just like the zoom slider snaps to relevant zoom levels, I think so should mouse wheel zoom. If not, at least choose a multiplier that will give clean 50%, 200%, 400% etc
  10. I think this option should also hide the selection box when nugding using arrow keys (and if enabled it also should not show the blue margin arrows that appear for 1 s when using arrow keys)
  11. Photoshop does both (1) and (2), however the simple auto-save preset approach (1) is the most important (it accounts for like 98% of of my use cases) This is because you rarely need to do more than what you can do with the raw tools. And also if you use (2), your developed raw document will be much larger on disk than just adding a preset file.
  12. Thanks! The way I understand it, (1) does not need non-destructive approach: it's basically just autosaving a raw-preset with the same name as the raw file (in the same dir as the raw file) when the user presses develop. And when a raw file is opened, check if there's a raw-preset with the same name, and if so, load it. (If the user developed a raw into a afphoto, it should not be updated/reflect changes to the raw-preset automatically)
  13. What is the progress of this? I feel minimum is to support (1), but (2) would also be nice...
