This only seems to be an issue with the Affinity apps. Even in other pen-aware apps, the menu placement does not seem affected when the pen is set to right-handed.

This seems to be an issue again with (Designer) 2.4. I'm getting left-handed menus with the Affinity programs but not anything else. I sometimes have a pen-driven display attached to this machine but it's not currently connected, and Windows pen-settings are set to be right-handed. Any ideas? John

(Our previous posts crossed paths) Yes,restarted AD each time. But thanks to your suggestions, it looks like Nahimic was the issue. Stopping that service seems to have cleared up the problem. Thanks for your help.

I've (now) tried: Renderer changed between NVIDIA (RTX 3080 Laptop) , Intel (Integrated) and WARP OpenCL on and off Retina Rendering between Automatic and Best I can't say I've tried every permutation, but none of the changes seem to have any effect.

I am noticing some serious problems with the UI rendering for Designer 1.10.4. When I mouse-over many of the elements I get these odd artifacts in the UI appearance (see screenshot below). This is running on Windows 10 with a 4K display. I've tried adjusting the system level interface scaling settings, but it doesn't seem to fix the problem. Any ideas?

Recently purchased Affinity Designer as a full featured an polished alternative to the Adobe. I must confess that I just discovered this limitation and it really disappoints me. At some level there seems to be a vector description of the brush shape (you can zoom in arbitrarily close to the the stroke in AD), but the line gets rastorized with any sort of export (PDF, SVG, etc. ). The two attached figures show this using the Fineliner Brushes included in my purchase of AD. Why is there no actual vector export? Looks like I need to find another illustration tool.
