  1. Walt, thanks for the responses to my post. I just tried to open a file using the "Open with" menu in the Windows 11 Photos app, just as depicted in your screenshot. The first time I got the error dialog I reported in my original post. The second time I tried it, I got a different dialog asking if I wanted to save a crash dump file. I declined and tried to open the file with the Photos app again. This time it worked. So there must have been a flag on opening files using this mechanism that cleared when AFPhoto2 detected the crash dump file. Long story short, it is now working as intended! Thanks again.
  2. Just updated to Affinity Photo V2. Tried to open some JPEG files from the Windows 11 Photos app using the "Open with" command in the Photos UI. I get an error dialog entitled "Failed to open file" with a long path (apparently the location where the JPEG is located) and then the text "The file type is not supported." If I save the file to my desktop and then use AP2 to open the file (using File | Open), the file opens with no problems. I do not remember AP1 having this problem. This is a huge issue for me as I frequently want to open files in this way. I don't understand why the file won't open using the "Open with" command, as it looks like Windows IS passing AP2 the correct path and filename. Thanks.
  3. I am trying to print some photos from Affinity Photo to an Epson Expression XP-7100 printer which has been configured for glossy 4x6 prints in both the Epson printer settings dialog and the printer's front panel. When I click "Print" in Affinity Photo, the Epson printer driver throws up an error indicating that there is a mismatch between the size I chose to print and the printer paper size. When I return to the Print dialog in Affinity and then click "Properties" to get to the XP-7100 driver settings, the "Document Size" has mysteriously been changed to "5 x 7" from the "4 x 6" setting I entered previously. I do not have this problem when printing 5x7 photos from AP to the Epson. I also do not have this problem when printing 4x6 photos from the Windows "Photos" app or the older Windows Photo Gallery program, which leads me to believe the problem may be on the Affinity Photo side. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
