    Working a lot with Moho Pro I saw myself rebuilding scenes I designed in Affinity Designer or Photo with exported images in Moho again. I never have to do that when using Spine to animate as Affinity has this great Spine JSON batch exporter in the Export Persona. So I was missing that when working in Moho.
    Until now; I've developed a free plugin script for Moho which let's Moho import all layers and exported cropped images from Affinity Photo and/or Designer via the exported spine.json file!
    For who is using both Spine and Moho, like me, it is even quite far in importing the setup pose with all images as exported from Spine too. Including all transformations of the images and even tinting of images. There are some limitations when importing spine.json files coming from Spine tho (see mohoscripts page for the script), like images which use meshes aren't supported. But the most important features are supported already!

    Also when the spine.json file has bone data (like files exported from Spine itself, or when using special layer naming in Krita's exporter), the skeleton will be recreated in Moho during import since v1.1.0! 

    But the main reason for making this was to import layers from Affinity tho. And that all works great now! A real time saver.
    It also works for Krita, Photoshop, After Effects, Gimp etc. when you install an existing export to spine.json script in Krita.

    Is there a way to convert a constraints group into a normal group - essentially reverting any constraints from the children and grand children - in one click?

    By mistake I clicked on the constraints for grouped object. Now even if I ungroup objects, and group them again, I cannot scale it - selection box changes size but group size remains the same - how to change / remove that?

    These colors irritate. I don't know why they changed. they were perfect. Those red buttons (error messages) burn my eyes, they distract me and I don't take it off because I have to use them. The interface with the blue markup was perfect.
    If something works why change it. They just change things that people were happy with. Now they have unhappy users for modifying the interface.

    it has grown because it is a killer software (freehand, fireworks). Affinity V1, you don't have to think to start using it. I've used Photoshop and Illustrator for 15 years and I still don't like their interface. People move to affinity because it's so easy to use and hooked. If affinity starts to look like adobe, I prefer adobe because it has better tools. I use affinity because I feel very comfortable and that's important. That being said I don't like V2.

    Same. Today I installed V2 again after I deleted it two months ago, because I thought maybe Serif took into consideration some of our objections and took time to implement some needed changes. They didn't. You still have to scroll through one million dropdowns, still have to click through innumerable tabs, still can't tell whether proportions are locked or not, the New... and Export... panels are still bad and the overall look of the app still feels from 2000. I prefer Adobe to V2, it's that bad. I mean like...why?😭 😭😭 
    Hopefully, Serif will still support V1, because I simply can't find the motivation to switch to V2. It's too cumbersome and disrupting to my workflow. So, so many clicks...😭

    Same here.
    I bought the whole V2 package basically on the first day. Used it about five times. Even upgraded my  Mac from Mojave to Monterey which I don't like. (Lost two other good programs due to that)
    And I've been working on V1 since then anyway. 
    Just cannot get over the UI changes, especially in the light interface.
     
    Well, we'll see what happens next. 😜

    There should be an option to disable the update reminder, for casual users like me. I have no desire to install every point release, I don't use it that intensely, and my simple task works just dandy without the latest 580MB update.
    It has an unpleasant shareware smell when you get nagged every*single*time*you*start*it.
    I'd be happy to be reminded of the major versions (1.9, 1.10, ...)

    No argument here, just saddens me that this feature is likely the most requested at this point on the forum and the devs have simply ignored us for years at this point. I absolutely love AP otherwise.

    Is there any way to get the developer's attention on this? The current workflow makes affinity photo unusable for any texture work in games involving alphas. Especially for Unity where you routinely have to copy roughness into the alpha channel of the metallic map.
    I hate photoshop but this is a deal breaker for me. Give us the ability to copy paste buffer into alpha.

    I still don't get it. At all. Alpha's in AP have been a complete mystery to me since day one.
    In PS you can edit  alphas just like any other layer and it's as simple as it sounds.
    in AP there are all kinds of edit and visibility buttons that either appear to do nothing or do what you least expect them to, and menu options that I simply, try as I might, do not understand. At all.
    I've tonight resorted to simply saving a separate black and white image out and calling that my alpha. Does the job. Totally not what you want for a game engine, but I don't need that any more, I just need a black and white image, and don't really mind that it's not embedded as an alpha...
    ... although that would be very nice!

    Channels are unworkable as is. I’d love to stop giving money to adobe if possible. Please make them as intuitive as they are in photoshop!
    At the very least the ability to copy/paste directly into them without weird workarounds.

    Understood, but I am assuming that it is not actually that hard to create a simple checkout or account function that can validate against the licensing server whether a valid V1 license exists or not.
    If this is impossible for some reason, then just do it for direct purchases.

    V2 is still a great deal and Serif does excellent work to provide a true alternative to Adobe.
    But seriously, just make one change:
    The 40% discount for existing users should not have an expiry date. Putting time pressure on V1 users is not a good call. Surely this is simple to implement. This gives everyone plenty of time to organise their own transition to V2, and everyone can also settle down with reactionary comments as they come to see that Affinity is a great deal. They should ask themselves - "What if Affinity didn't exist at all?"
    (Having said that, let's talk Linux availability....haha kidding - I know no one wants to talk about that anymore. Should run in VirtualBox Win10 no problem, right?)

    I haven't bought v2 yet, has anything else about alpha handling improved? ( I hate how it's impossible to make affinity treat alpha channel like "just another channel" ).
    It's one of the reasons I can't commit to Affinity Photo for all my work. It feels silly to do 90% of my work happily in Affinity and the open a web app like photopea.com so I can do some basic alpha channel editing.
    With the normal map editing obviously throwing a bone towards game dev / cg artists, easy alpha editing is MUCH MORE of a must than normal map tweaking.

    Exactly !
    The Drop down menu is annoying. Clicking an icon was faster! Everything looks like a badly done app wish a fishy framework and takes more screen space : v1 : v2: Scrolling and resizing the window to get to the other settings? That's a UI/UX design that comes from Web apps, Chrome... yuck yuck yuck. v1: v2:

    Hi. I was excited by v2.0 but I really don't like the new UI design. The flat design feels like a multiplatform wobbly app that the Adobe suite had become...
    I felt like the v1.0 UI design felt more robust.

    it's a long time user request for desktop.
