Good Idea I will try Resource mgr approach. I have been trying to load the Pub. files iinto LULU but they didn't seem to make the move. I think there is something I am missing on the LULU side of the coin. Thanks

Yes I have saved the Publisher Document.

I have loaded my art files from Corel Painter to Publisher. They have art and type as jpgs. Now I am trying to move them as pdf's to either LuLu or Amazon for printing. Having problems with that I hired a freelance lady to handle the mechanics (since I have had not luck), She isn't familiar with Publisher and wants me to get the files to her from my desktop? I can't seem to get a handle on why getting the files to LULU or Amazon should be so complicated, which is probably just me. Is there a way to select the entire list of pages (spreads) in publisher and drag them to my desktop? Does that make any sense? Thanks norm

OK, then do I drag each page to desktop? Can I select the entire list of pages and export to desktop? Will that work? thanks norm

I have placed my book in Publisher and have difficulty in up loading to LuLu and Kdp. How can I retrieve my pages from the pages listing back to the desktop? This is all new to me and this process of getting to the publisher is tougher than doing the actual book. Any help out there? norm

Have been trying to upload cover files to kindle for print. I have the correct file ready to upload and when I do via pdf the upload only takes part of the book (front cover) spine and rear cover do not appear to upload when checkin the file in KDP. It appears the file is not flattened as the elements are listed in the layers.I have grouped checked. There does not seem to be a (flatten or drop layers) on the screen. I have tried to save as another type file such as jpg or pdf so I could place it on my desktop and upload from there. I seem to be at a dead end. Can someone give a few hints as to what I am doing wrong. Thanks Norm

I am trying to send Publisher (book) to Amazon kdp for publishing. Past attempts have been unable to load because the files were to large. 1. Is there a way to condense these files in Publisher? I have exported as pdf but these were to large for Publisher to handle. Any suggestions? norm

Problem is that the text boxes on the master pages are showing the# signs in the text boxes (master Page) but pages are not showing up in the manuscript pages. I had received a suggestions that perhaps the type color was white and the font was to large. Checked out both but the page numbers still did not appear. The font size was 9pt. Are there any more suggestions? I followed the directions to a tee. Text box then type insert etc. Loading screen shot if that will help. thanks

Yes, That was a good thought. I went to master pages, resized the text boxes and made sure the type size was 9 pt. No Luck. Any other ideas?

Good idea, I just went to my master pages and made the type box larger (just in case) and made sure the point size was 9. Checked the pages and nothing. Didn't add a screen shot, whole screen? Thanks norm

nothing over the master pages and all are the same size. I had Master page B and c which I deleted. The pages are the same size. I had deleted both the type boxes and did the procedure again. Still no luck. I must be missing something pretty basic. Not sure how to post the document. I also went to master pages> apply to all pages. Nothing. norm

I'm lost. I have used the master pages to format my book and page numbers. Text tool> text> insert> field> page #. No page numbers appear. On the master pages the text boxes with the # marks appear. Nothing in the individual pages of the book. Has anyone had the problem before? Am I missing a step? Has anyone got a solution? Please advise. I am new to windows 10 so not to up on the technology terms. Thanks norm

Hi again, Yes, I understand the procedure which I followed. However the page # are located on the master page text boxes. So far so good. When I go to look at the pages, there are no page numbers appearing on the pages of the document. Am I missing a step that should activate the page numbering? Opinions? Sorry to keep this topic going but I don't seem to be able to figure it out.

Having difficulty setting page numbers in Publisher. Have followed the instructions and have # in both type boxes in the spread Master page. No page numbers appear in the pages which I have loaded (96) and I am at a loss as to how to solve this problem. I have section manager and filled in the appropriate numbers. I want the page numbers to start on page 3 ( as page 1) Is there anyone who has a solution? Thanks Norm

I sent you a question again but listed everything I did. Yes there was a linked resource missing and I clicked that I wanted them retrieved. That took me to a window showing all my corrected pages. However the large spread window was still pixelated. norm
