  1. Hi Old Bruce, Thanks for your reply. I've since discovered that the font renders perfectly if I use left formatted paragraph (see below), so the issue only happens when centre formatted paragraph is selected. I chose 7pt because this is the only size that the font pixels render 1:1 with the image pixels (any other point size this isn't the case). So this does look like a bug to me.
  2. Hi, I've come across a bug with pixel font rendering, described below. I've attached a screenshot from Affinity Photo, with the two lines of text with the same font, coverage map is used to create 1:1 pixel font rendering (the screen shot is zoomed in). The two lines contain identical text apart from one character difference: the 6th word of the 1st line is 'tincidunt' whereas the 6th word of the 2nd line is 'tiincidunt'. You can see the rendering of the first line is broken, whereas the second line is perfect. If I was to modify the first line 6th word and add an 'i', this would cause the first line to be rendered correctly. I hope this is something that can be fixed because it stops this app being useful for pixel fonts. The afphoto and ttf files are also attached in case that's useful. Thanks! inconsistent-pixel-font-rendering.afphoto SonicAdvanceRegular-o66V.ttf
  3. I'm so glad to find a solution for this behavior of cycling through tool groups by pressing the tool shortcut! this behavior drives me crazy since I bought Affinity photo years ago, I only just realized what to search for in this forum. I regularly press 'm' without realising that marquee is already selected, then I have to press it twice more to get back to rectangular marquee because it switched to circular marquee.. this feature should be DISABLED by default, its a very bad...
  4. Hi! I must say that I'm coming to love Affinity software! I'm trying to figure out how I can disable font smoothing when using a tff format pixel font. I've tried following instruction below (adjusting the coverage map), which does remove the anti-aliasing but the font becomes mangled. Is this supported for this in Affinity Photo? https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/57282-how-to-turn-off-anti-aliasing-for-text/ Thanks Jim
