Hi MEB, Tried to change permissions on the Applications outside the Home folder but it said back to where we started.

Hi MEB, It appears I have two Application folders, one outside my Home folder and one inside the Home folder. I moved both Affinity Designer and Photo into the Application folder in my Home folder and they seem to be working OK at moment. That's why changing the permissions didn't work it only affected the Applications folder in the Home folder! I my not very technically minded not sure why I should have two Application folders? and why everything else works from there but not Designer and Photo? It may be clear to you, many thanks for sticking with this. I will see how to goes.

Yes I have tied that more than once, why can't it work like all the other programs I use!? I would love to use this proffesionaly. Never had this issue with any other software? Again thank you.

Hi Stokerg, I work on a Mac, attached the dialogue box it's saying it's a permissions issue but I have had this problem since buying the software. Tried all the ways of changing the permissions suggested but nothing has worked, it's very frustrating. Compounded by the fact that I am not technically minded. Thank you for help.

Affinity Designer and Photo Will only allow me to save and read Affinity Designer and Photo documents from my icloud drive. I can’t save/read these documents to my computer home hard drive or external hard drive. Only ever had this problem with Affinity software. How can software dictate where it’s saved? Realy don't think it's permision issue Can any one help with this.

Hi, Affinity Designer will not allow me to save files to my hard drive do not have the permission. It will only save to iCloud, is there any way to change this, allowing to save my Affinity Designer files any where? Mark

I have download from the app store both Anffinity Designer and Anffinity Photo. When a try to save the document I have been working on I get a permission’s error and I unable to save the document . This happens for both app’s. I have tried changing the permissions, re-installing the app’s nothing I have tried so far works. “Save failed because you do not have permission to create a file in that location.” Every time. Very frustrating If any one has a solution, please let me know. It's back to Illustrator and photoshop
