Tripod Cap inPanorama

DJAurand posted a topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)

I've been trying to Paste a "Tripod Cap" image over the tripod over the Tripod in a Panorama But can't return to Equirectangular Projection view after Pasting and Positioning it. Tried some Cloning over part of the tripod and was able to return to Equirectangular Projection view Why can't I Merge the image down and return to Equirectangular Projection view?
