  1. Clone to another pixel layer on top by setting the Source to Currrent Layer & Below For Inpainting just turn the Perpective layer off, do the Inpainting and turn it back on
  2. 1) Click the » at the right on the screen for more options 2) With the Marquee you can either click the Subtract button on the Context toolbar or hold <ctrl> down as you drag 3) I'd change your user name from your email address in case of spammers
  3. well, I'd like to think it's a combination of talent, diligence, good looks but my Mum would probably say, "Stubborn" so stubborn it is
  4. See, you're an expert now. Probably ought to be png OR jpg OR jpeg OR tif OR tiff If you're at a high enough level, say D:\ then you can specify folder names like D:\Bath\*.jpg OR "D:\Brighton Photos\*.jpg" Note if you have spaces in the folder name then it has to be enclosed in quotation marks Search string is limited to 259 characters, hours of fun
  5. It works if you run the search from APhoto Start a new Batch Job, click Add Navigate to your top level folder and enter the Search String Select images and click Open 3266 were added to the Sources panel in 14s from 56 folders Then I set a simple rule to resize them to 300px wide into a new folder Processed in 21s
  6. Yes, I have reproduced this by exporting a fill layer using various colours Odd thing is, the H values from both points add up to either 240 or 600 depending on the original. If I use values of 120 or 300 this doesn't occur
  7. OK, I'll play. The Windows 10 On Screen Keyboard does exactly that even including the clicks. However, if you go into Options and select Hover over keys then APhoto continues to accept input until you click the Enter button or key. I've tried it on stroke widths and colours so hopefully that'll help the OP
  8. Dunno if this is relevant but I struggled until I went into Nvidia control panel and found that it hadn’t recognised APhoto. Added APhoto under Manage 3D Settings, err as you’d expect, now it works
  9. My unpublished solution was to set the origin at the line intersections and muck about with guides. I didn't realise that Align/ Distribute worked on nodes. Very clever @JimmyJack, I think that's a winner
  10. Only thing I would suggest is don't get too small a screen. This thing is 14 ½" diagonal, I wouldn't go smaller. You can see the spec in the signature below, I would imagine that i5, 8gb ram and SSD would be ok unless you're running massive panoramas or focus stacks
  11. You can use the Add/ Subtract/ Intersect buttons or their shortcuts but I use a mouse not a tablet so am not the best person to advise
  12. Yep. With the cursor inside the selection you can move it around. As of 1.8.5 the cross turns into the Move (NESW arrows) too
  13. It's an expression of the viewing size against full size so you're viewing at 53.4% of full size. Do <ctrl>1 for 100%
  14. Well I didn't find it all that intuitive. Anyway, Repeat = Across x Down and leave copies as 1
  15. If you work with the Develop Persona then clipping alarms are at the top right. Drag the Tones tab out of the panel on the right and resize as convenient
  16. If the pixel layer is either transparent or of one colour the the Flood Fil Tool will work, otherwise use a Paint brush Usually a Fill Layer is better for this
  17. Nah, Select/ Select all Layers, <ctrl>C, File/ New from Clipboard. Only two steps more than Photoshop 🙂 Having drawn a shape with the Pen what do you then do that causes the Rasterisation? If you have psd files with paths you will notice that Affinity does not show them when you open the file in APhoto but if you open the file in Photoshop and convert the paths to vector shapes, Layer/ Vector Mask/ Current path then APhoto will import them. You can then edit the shapes with the node tool. Right click the Compound mask and choose Release. First time you open the psd, the units will be pixels, select the View tool (press H) and the units will show in the Context toolbar, change to inches, save as an afphoto and the units will be remembered
  18. Weird. I have just done this again. The stroke colour and width are remembered but, on creating the second node, the colour swatch changes to white with diagonal red, ie no fill Aha, there is another option on the right, I don't remember this before 1.8.5
