  1. I always supply print ready PDFs. They simply asked for working files this time. It’s not my first big project. It is, however, the first one with Affinity and I wasn’t expecting this hiccup. I’m hoping they can roll with it.
  2. If you look at my other comments I addressed this. They get a PDF this time and hopefully they can use it. I will not be able to use Publisher in the future for large projects unless this is addressed. It saddens me because I much prefer this software and don’t care for Adobe in general.
  3. And if it doesn't it's going to be a huge issue for a portion of users. I can't help what programers do and don't do just as I can't help what printers will and won't accept. The unfortunate reality of the industry.
  4. I had a past beta version. Thank heavens. I love this new update and will include a PDF in the package. That’s the best I can do right now. In the future I’ll just have to revert to InDesifn Trials to complete these huge projects until Publisher can talk to InDesign.
  5. Downloading that one now. I thought I had downloaded that one but must have grabbed something else. I desperately hope this fixes the issue. I love this software.
  6. Unfortunately I have a project I have to get to a printer today and they need it packaged and the beta isn’t working and I haven’t found a solution as to why.
  7. This saddens me. I'm completing a huge project with Publisher and the printer now needs it packaged - which Publisher cannot do - and I can't get it into InDesign to package it. I love Affinity but this may be the nail in the coffin for me.
  8. Thank you so much. Dealing with paths/shapes/etc. is new to me and I feel like I jumped in the deep end. Thanks again!!
  9. Thanks! That's basically what I wanted to do and hadn't quite figured out the nesting. I'll give that a go. I've probably got them nested backwards. The other person basically said what I wanted - I said "outline" because I figured if I could make an overall single shape outline I could fill it white and pop it behind the other shapes. I'm positive there are better ways to get my point across an I apologize that I"m not using the most effective wording.
  10. I'm working on this overall shape and have 2 issues. 1. How can I get the different parts (ie: the different shades at the bottom of the ball) to line up together perfectly so they're smooth and even? I'm guessing there's another magic button I'm missing (like the erase blend mode someone just told me about). 2. Is there a simple way to get an outline of the entire outside of the shape so that I can put a white background behind the cross and the ball? I just want the background behind the cross/ball, not the wording to the right of this (ie: not behind the whole piece). When I've tried to trace the shapes manually it comes out all wonky so I didn't know if there was an easier way.
  11. Thank you!! This is where I'd facepalm but I'm too appreciative to care. Thanks again!
  12. Hi! I've tried searching and apparently just don't know the right keywords. I have this overall path of half a heart but I want to subtract this rectangle shape from the heart shape so that as a PNG, the subtracted area will be transparent, basically I want to delete that area. I just can't figure out how to change the path to go around it and really would like to avoid recreating the entire shape.
  13. When I finish an image I go to Save As and it won't allow me to name/save. I try to export and it won't show the dialogue to pick where to save the file. I've had to restart the app in order to get it to work - which then looses the work I completed.
