My Goodness ! That was quick - and it worked! Thank you so much for your help - I'm new to all this and was feeling very stalled out - you saved the day!

I have been working along on the Affinity Revolution Retouching 101 course but have run into a snag. At the 50 second mark of the Sharpening section on Eyes Ally clicks her cursor below all the layers and it leaves no layers selected. When I do this the already selected layer remains selected - if I go down to Background and then try to click below it keeps Background selected. I don't know how to achieve having no layers selected. Any ideas? I reloaded the Infinity software. I ensured that I had modified the work space as outlined under the Retouching Tools section. I am working on an HP Pavilion laptop running Windows 10. Looking forward to hearing of any possible solutions.
