Luca H got a reaction from wesleyb in Grid gutter decimal places limited to 3
    Hi @Patrick Connor,
thanks for the quick reply, you are right, the value is correctly stored. What must have confused me is the rendering of the grid.
I attached a video to show the grid rendering confusion.
In the beginning the gutter is set to 0, then I paste the exact location of my object and then the rendering of the grid makes it seem like there is a rounding error, because the lines don't align, but then I discovered if I play around with the decimal place numbers the rendering of the grid is not correct or precise enough.

    Hello everyone,
today I  created a table that is longer than my layout and would span over several pages.
So I had to split it.
It is simply very inconvenient to have to split the table, especially if you insert or edit rows later and want to re-sort the table.
    Therefore here's my +1 for multi-page tables.

Unless I missed something, what I see in your video is the behavior I would expect. The shape is supposed to move around based on which origin point is selected. The absolute X & Y position of your click should stay fixed, but which point on the object that the absolute position relates to is what you are selecting.
For general feedback of the feature, I would add an X and Y field, prefilled with the clicked position if in canvas (i.e., the position that is used currently in this beta). I would suppose the main advantage to numeric entry would be precision versus the imprecise nature of clicking and dragging, but the same would be true about the position of the initial click (though snapping does really help). As an added benefit, this numeric entry makes automation through solutions such as Keyboard Maestro more achievable.

Variable fonts will be the way to go in the future.
Having the possibility to adjust your font with high precision is a key feature.
And I'm talking for print. There are great typefaces where variable axis play an important role.
PLEASE ADD VARIABLE FONT SUPPORT. OUR GOAL IST TO BE BETTER THAN ADOBE.

Version 1.8 of OpenType was released in 2016, it included Variable fonts. The feature is mature and widely used nowadays.
It would be great to have support for variable fonts.

Thought is being given into the complications of fully supporting these fonts, particularly exporting to formats like PDF and SVG, which do not support variable fonts natively and therefore need to convert them to traditional fonts at export. Not insurmountable but not straight forward.

I see that some formats don't support variable fonts, but maybe coding in export restrictions (e.g. can't export PDF or "export text as curves for font independence" forced on for SVG, etc.)? It's 2023 and I don't see why Affinity products can't have variable fonts.

Thanks for this feedback - though getting a bit off topic from balanced dashed lines
It won't be in this update but a double line style is something we'll get on the list for future consideration. What we could also do with a a much better way to save any line styles you create yourself (with various dash patterns, arrow heads, multiple strokes in appearance, etc,) as well as us being able to provide a nice set of presets. These could potentially just be saved in other categories of the brushes panel within Designer persona. Again one for a future update...

Love the new balanced option on dotted lines, but one thing I would love to see in strokes is a twin line option, I know it's not too difficult to create twin lines uing two boxes but would be a real time saver if twin lines were available as an option, and if they could be independently edited that would be awesome.

    Basically what the title says.
It would save me some time if I could select more than one master page in the panel and delete or duplicate them all at once.

As a workaround: Right-click on the Master Page layer in the Layers panel, and choose Edit Detached. Click Finished in the orange bar at the top when you've made your edits.

    Hi,

it would be nice if it was possible to only align the first line of a paragraph with the baseline geid (use case: Headlines and quotes that need a line height that is different than the baseline grid).

    Hi
As already requested by you and (among others) here,
    here
    and here

I also cast my vote on this issue.
It would help me a great deal with organizing UI Kits with several color themes!

    Hi!
As a feature request, it would be so helpful to be able to break down colour groupings within a single Application Palette or Document Palette. For example, I'd like to group my primary colours on their own at the top, and then create secondary and tertiary groups/rows for tints and shades of the same colours, or secondary colours, etc.
Being able to create an organized hierarchy within a palette rather than having a mass grouping of all saved swatches would be immensely helpful!
    Thanks.

    Hi @Luca H,
    Welcome to the forums
Thanks for spotting this. I think it should remove the line break, regardless of how it was introduced in the frame (manual or through a style). Issue logged.
