i am having trouble with affinity photo version 2.1 and would like to revert to the the version 2.0. iwas able to go from fast raw viewer easily in the previous version how do i do that thanks Jerry

thanks for the comments about "integration'". In my search for "simplicity i often make things even more complex. Fastrawviewer is quite a good reasonable compromise in that regard and working to integrate it into my workflow at this point is a good thought. I would like to remove adobe as much as possible as in my mind it has become bloated and overly expensive. With that in mind it would be great if Affinity would communicate with FRV for future endeavours to keep the connections smooth. Jerry

as I wrote in February, I am really missing a decent browser (aka DAM?) I do only still photography so video and animation are irrelevant, That is my selffish attitude as I recognize a small company is by neccity limited in what they do. For the price, Affinity is by far the best thing around!!!

i ihave not used the adjustment tab from the studio because I don't care to see icons for basic tasks BUT never realized it has functions different from launching adjustments from the icon in the layers pallet. For instance it became apparent to me when I tried to use LUTs. What am I missing and not understanding why the same name "adjustment" yields different features depending upon where it is launched? Also I have a suggestion for a possibly easy addition. after I create a selection and then create a spare channel I try to always name that channel. It would be a real nice time saver if you had a check box appear at that time offering to save the spare channel with a new name. this is not a big problem but would certainly be a nice convenience Thanks Jerry

is there a way in "Photo" to change the default value of a given tool....e.g. brush size in the brush tool or clone brush tool to set the aligned source to "all layers. a slightly more difficult choice would occur when you iuse the pixel selection to creat would be really nicete a spare channel. I almost always rename the spare channel at that point. It would awfully nice to have a "choice" check box at that point to rename the layer. Just a nice time saver for not having to reselect the spare channel and have to then make the rename selectionwhen new versions another thought is that I always update I changes have occured i have trouble finding what new versions appear.. But is there a list of what has changed in the program Love the program otherwise Jerry

Pleading again for integration with tangent element which has not been upgraded in YEARS. such good basic hardware that only cludgingly interacts with affinity. It could be a wonderful "marriage" but I am afraid the tangent side is uninterested so a little work by Serif would help thanks in advance for any consieration Jerry

when i scan an image with the cursor in the info panel it shows a myriad of single pixels of varied hues. is their a way to change the resolution of the cursor so as to show a blend of the pixels at different cursor resolutions so I can tell which of the colors I have chosen, The photoshop counterpart of this is much easier to interpret thanks Jerry

Windows 10 and it seems to occur when I overdo the movement of the vetices so I am thinking it is the usual user error on my part! things are a good bit better when I exercise moderation with movement of the points thanks again and it is quite reassuring to know there is qualified help out there for this wonderful program Jerry

using version 10 with the mesh/warp tool to move more than 1 point i frequently crash. Am I overdoing the moves?

fastrawviewer is fine for culling and uncomplicated editing! I also use it as a browswer to locate images I have edited and want to review. UNFORTUNATELY it does not recognize layered files I have edited in Affinity photo. It can find photos I have saved in either photoshop or tiff mode but these are compacted and I cannot re-edit the layers I would love to see again in Affinity photo. If FRV can read layered files from TIFF or PSD I would have hoped they could do so from Affinity Jerry

i find it really interesting that this topic is now nearly 5 years old without resolution. Affinity has been SO good in some many areas of customer responsiveness. This seems so out of character for them Jerry

is there any update on potential use forTangent hardware use with affinity photo? i have been trying to develop this for my use with windows hardware and am frustrated. Affinity does not provide keyword shortcuts for many adjustment panels which then prohibits my use of tangent features

Thanks for helping! As usual it was "user error" I had set it up as move forward and back incorrectly! Another suggestion if I may.. I am not sure if you would rather I open another topic so let me know. I have been taught to always do the clone tool on another layer so as to make the process non-destructive. I know that i can do that manually by checking the select "and below" from the tool bar but it is an added step which I often forget until the clone tool doesn't respond. It would be nice if that choice could be available as a "default" when launching the tool. Also, I am not at all versed in the procedures of using forums so perhaps could use a suggestion there. I have sent along a request to enable Tangent elements within Affinity Photo. I would be a real boon for me as I already have those devices. I was instructed to add that to my previous suggestions about this item. I am not sure the best way to do that Again. I really appreciate the wonderful program and on top of that your willingness to provide timely great support Jerry

On previous versions of AF the keyboard shortcut ctrl+[ would move an adjustment layer inside the pixel layer and ctrl} would reverse that process. It UNFORTUNATELY does not work in version 9.1. in earlier versions you could also go to the arrange menu and select "move back" or "forward one" and get the same effect. It was beautifully simple and worked so well. Why was it changed? Jerry

i would like to put my 2 cents in for a DAM or at least a primitive browser!Th single image editing features of Photo are amazing and would certainly be enhanced by being able to see more than one comparative images at once. The asset manager accompaniments. would be great on top of that but could be added as developed. the browser feature at this point would be wonderful! I agree with many others that current capabilities should be refined before moving into other dimensions Jerry

i would agree that the icons on my 5k screen and text labels are much too small on my windows 10 machine.. Often the descriptions obscure the icons themselves

any progress since your posting a year ago on icon size in the tool panel on Windows 10? also thanks for solving MY problem with library panel not appearing because both left and right studios were nto showing

Problem Solved and sorry to bother you all! I should have searched your solutions... The question had previously been answered! I needed to have BOTH left and right studio panels open

in the photo persona i click on the library panel under the studio in view menu. it does not appear on the screen. what have i done wrong. i have tried closing and opening affinity, etc

i have really enjoyed the Tangent devices while using Capture One. Tangent has no direct support for Affinity but you can use their keyboard shortcuts to program the Tangent boards. Has anyone done any of this and would Affinity be interested in asking Tangent people to design an interface? thanks Jerry
