Zachia Johnson-Moses reacted to R C-R in How do I make gradient background on the product mock ups?
Note also that if all you have is a photo to work with, everything will be on the same layer, meaning there is no separate background layer you can apply the gradient to without it also affecting the product, most likely replacing everything on the layer with the gradient.

Hey Zachia Johnson-Moses,
It sounds like we don't interpret what I'm assuming are PSD smart objects from Creatsy. Can you share one of the files with us?

Ah, I didn't want to cause any bother - but ideally we need to see exactly what's inside the files you're opening so we can debug what's happening. I can ask the developers if they have any ideas. They might already be aware of this. I'll check with them and get back to you.

I spoke with them and they have asked for a file to debug. I suspect it's just a smart object that we don't fully understand yet. Does it load into Affinity as an embedded document? If it does, it likely is a smart object. There's a few Photoshop ones that cause issues because we cannot properly interpret them yet.

Potentially it will. Though I'm not sure if this is a case of something that should work but doesn't or if it's just a missing feature needing implementation. If you were allowed to privately share the .afphoto file with the embedded document it might help us—though I understand your reservations if there's licensing issues.

I've just dropped an image into the layer stack and it seems to be working ok for me?
Should it look different? I dropped it in here:
Should there be a bit more of a perspective?

You must place the design group under the base pixel.

Zachia Johnson-Moses reacted to SRThomp in How to "center" an image on a mock up design template
glad to see this response - my question is the same but I cannot make this work on a SPREAD. It is going to the center of the spread.
I do not find it practical to rely on that green line on a 125 page document as my Hand/Eye coordination has been compromised due to illness.
as a old X9 user there was the option to align to page or align to spread. Is there something that I am missing other than calculating center points and relying on the "green line" as a guide? Please and thank you??

Hello Walt.Farrall, this worked exactly how I hoped for. I do have a windows and it works perfectly. Thanks for your help!

If you enable Snapping then centering something on that design should be as simple as dragging it it to the right/left until the green vertical dynamic guide appears at the center. Then dragging it up/down until the red horizontal dynamic guide appears at the center. Very quick and simple.
From the menu, there's also the combination Arrange > Align Middle and Arrange > Align Center.
Finally, depending on your OS and your release of Photo, you may also have (or be able to add it) the Alignment tool in the Toolbar, which also allows a two-step process for centering it: (on Windows I don't think this is available in the current retail release, but it's available in the beta).

Zachia Johnson-Moses reacted to Old Bruce in Trying to figure out how to change the background color using a mock up generator. (Addition Question)
Again use the Colour Panel, RGB Hex
In case you are stuck with the wheel....

You need the Colour Panel.
Then just change the colour with the (Fill Layer) selected.
