How weird! I went back to Affinity Photo to check the mode and all of the tools were there!
Then I realised that it had opened on a photo that I was working on previously imported.When I went to add a photo to work on, it reverted to the limited tools page.
I can’t seem to locate the mode, very top left takes me back to the menu, the 3 dots give me a number of options, then there is some photo info RAW plus info.
Down the page on the left is the view tool and 7 others.
Maybe I should go to a tutorial and watch beginning to end.

The move tool, the channel studio and many others are missing from the screen. Where are they?

Aha, trick was to click on develop. Then the tools appear.
