Sorry, but what’s about the blob issue?
Artsketch replied to Artsketch's topic in V1 Bugs found on iPads
On the “blob free” screen recordings too much pressure is applied. Look how thin the Comics Ink Pen brush is at 100px. Without screen protector and new nib: FullSizeRender.mov -

How is your global pressure curve? Your brush strokes don’t have much width variation at all. Try more pressure variation with higher brush width or zoom to make details visible. -

I already tried an iPad Pro 2020 and a second Pencil 2, iPad OS 13.6 and 14 Beta 3 without screen protector. No difference. On imported Photoshop brushes the same. -

I’m using the iPad Pro 2018 12.9“. It occurs on all pressure variable pixel brushes. Some brushes on the picture are from the '"inks“ brushes. -

Sure this occurs with all brushes using Apple Pencil pressure sensitivity. Other apps on iPad using Apple Pencil pressure sensitivity like Photoshop, Fresco, Sketch, Concepts, Procreate, Sketch Book, Artstudio Pro, Art Set don’t have this blob issue. So it isn’t Apples fault. -

Hi Dan C, it is really serious, no customer so far accepted work created exclusively in Affinity Designer and Photo because of the pixel brush blobs. -
The blobs at every stroke make Affinity’s pixel brushes useless. Did you ever draw in Affinity Photo? No customer will accept blobs.
-
Try to install Photoshop too and then reinstall Fresco again. This workaround works for me. I have to use Fresco or Procreate for painting and then import to Affinity Photo or Designer because Affinity’s pixel brush engine is crap (blob bug) and useless.

Unbelievable🙄

Is anybody still using Affinity Designer & Photo pixel brushes? The blob issue make this apps useless on iPad. Major issue and disappointing.
-
Sorry, but will the blob issue at the beginning of a stroke with pixel brushes on iPad be ever solved? Especially the ink brushes. I tried to change all parameters but there isn’t any workaround. If this bug remains and further ignored the only option will be a 1 star AppStore rating.

Higher contrast would be fine

Hi GRAFKOM, this is about using the trackpad with Affinity Photo for iPad. (I hope Affinity Designer for iPad will be updated too) On iPad I prefer the Magic Trackpad 2 over the Magic Mouse 2. On my desktop Mac I’m working with Photoshop and Illustrator preferring the Magic Mouse and a Wacom Intuos tablet because there I’m not using Multitouch. With both devices (Magic Trackpad 2 and Magic Mouse) you can configure the preferences fo fast cursor moving. If you buy the Magic Trackpad 2 the Space Grey is less prone to fingerprints. With the Magic Mouse you don’t get pinch to zoom and canvas rotation options and the Magic Trackpad 2 is very convenient for using the iPad Pro on the desktop.
