and no, we seriously are not missing anything - it is exactly as I described - it is weird for sure

don't know how to make a video on my mac

so I did a reset - opened an image - in the layers there is background then levels adjustment on top - that is highlighted in blue and both levels have a check - when I go to the adjustment panel - levels - and click on darken nothing happens - again I can manually adjust but not able to use the preset as a starting point for example

within an adjustment - let's say levels - once I open it an adjustment box pops out and there are three presets inside - default - darken - lighten - if I click on darken the image that I see does not change - I can do it myself using the pop out box but not by clicking on the preset - same goes for and of the adjustment panels

Just starting out - within the various adjustments there are presets - if I click on one, the image does not change - am I missing something? - thanks
