  1. a live-paint-bucket as one-step-function is an important and missed feature that would be useful in a coming update
  2. dear Santa, as we all have been so very terribly good, put into our stocking a trace tool! pretty, pleeeeeeeeeeease???!!
  3. Hi LionelD, I only saw your comment now. Haven't really dabbled with assets, yet. I will try and check this time permitting, thank you very much for your suggestion!
  4. I totally agree and would strongly suggest for the affinity team to implement functions used creating interactive pdfs and according export options.
  5. dear stokerg I suspected as much, for larger amounts of symbols that may belong to different categories and if you keep adding to the list you will be utterly lost when trying to sift through all the symbols without alphabetical/numerical order and no search function that is a bummer an export function I could find a workaround, I suppose, by opening an old document and saving it under a new name, that would keep the symbols within the document. but any changes would only ever effect the current document, so not much use after all, thinking about it. there should be a distinction between and option to chose network symbols/symbols applied 'globally' and document specific changes also I would need a way to select all instances of one symbol on each page tnx for your reply and an update with such improvements would be highly appreciated!
  6. hello there and hi all! I could not find sufficient info on these points: the symbol library docker seems very basic, I have to create documents with up to 30 odd pages or more, using a lot of icons/symbols (over 200 individual ones, often several instances per page). These would be icons that stand for articles or species, several symbols to note locations or activities; plus numbers and arrows In order to reliably choose the correct symbol from a vast collection of symbols it would be crucial to see a clear preview of the symbol and the name of the symbol in full. Also in case of having to modify and add symbols. (similar to this screenshot made in Coreldraw - see attachment, please) is there a way to display the created symbols in alphabetical order as a list and can the library be named, saved and exported or their path be opened to use in other files? I reallyreallyreally would like to swap all my other software for affinity, maybe there is another way to achieve what I need? thanks for any pointers
  7. Hi there, I unshackled meself from Adobe's CS, I also have used Coreldraw a lot. The vector effect is one that I use a lot and vector handling I find more intuitive and unparalleled in Corel. Having gotten the Affinity suite I was really hoping to leave software hopping for individual features behind. Sad to say but I find it somewhat disappointing Affinity designer has no trace/vectorize feature built in. Hope the guys and gals at affinity will get round to adding one in the foreseeable future. would be a very useful addition to a solid application
