    Welcome to the forums.
    What is the file type of your image file?
    If you downloaded a JPG then the image will probably have no transparency.
    If you downloaded a PNG or TIF then you could have transparency in the image.
    Can you share the image or a link to the original image on the website where you downloaded it from?
