  1. I believe I had the same problem a couple years ago. My US bank SAID there was no reason it shouldn't go through, but actually it was my banks antifraud detection because of multiple purchases in England. I think I tried it the next day and it went through, but I may have just used PayPal.
  2. I notice a business purchase requires at least 2 licenses. Can you convert an individual license to a business to add more users in the future?
  3. @nickbatzA 2009 iMac isn't supported by Apple anyways and I certainly would recommend a full backup first so you can always restore your old system but, Mr. Macintosh's videos make it fairly easy. Earlier versions of Mac OS (before Ventura) actually included the drivers for older machines in the OS so the Legacy patcher actually worked pretty well (I think some of the devs actually got some support from Apple engineers - this isn't a hackintosh). Most limitations were if your older computer was missing hardware to do something or just wasn't performant enough to take advantage of new features. The biggest hassle is you need to repatch it when there are upgrades - but even that is streamlined.
  4. You could try OpenCore Legacy Patcher (google it - Mr. Macintosh has good YouTube videos on it) but you won't be able to upgrade to Ventura (no Metal drivers for your machine) but you should be able to upgrade to Big Sur or Monterey which will support Affinity 2.0. This would be somewhat unsupported, but it should work if you have enough disk space and ram.
  5. @Dan C For now I will start new projects in 2, and just start playing around with it. And keep current stuff in 1 since there is no downside to having both versions. Then when I'm more confident with Version 2, I'll just move stuff over. Thanks for your help.
  6. @Dan C Thank you, that is what I was hoping, but on Question 2, I would obviously save the V1 file, but if all the work I start doing is in V2, I don't want to have to redo it all, so my question is really about how complete/accurate is the PDF export/import. Or would I be better off completing projects done in V1, in V1 and just using V2 for new work?
  7. Well, if the promo lasts for 30 days it probably doesn't matter to me. I'm just trying to decide if I should just buy it or do the trial. I'm more concerned with the new version shakeout. Doesn't seem like too many problems on Mac on the Forums. Be good to know the answer, though.
  8. 1. Can all Version 1 Apps coexist with Version 2 on all platforms? (Recognizing V1 cannot open V2 and Publisher Studiolink works only with the same Version apps)? 2. If one has problems on V2 is there any way to get the files back to V1? Export and Import? 3. If necessary, will uninstalling V2 affect your V1 install (or vice versa)?
  9. As an auxiliary to that question - Will the 30 day trial lock in the current discount ($99.99)?
