[Publisher: size of linked objects]

So sad, I was expecting that ... how can anyone creating (non literature) books work with this.
It’ll still take some time to replace Indesign ...

I am working on a publisher document with some linked pictures. Now I have to check if these pictures all have been all resized the same amount.

But where can I find and change the magnification value of a linked document?

On placing a jpg you can see the options at the window bar, but this does not work on placed pdf, eps or Designer documents. There I can only see/change the bounding boxes.

Yes, the Acrobat way is similar to my preferred: the "Turn everything to grayscale" in Illustrator. And the manual conversion is not suitable working with hundreds of files ...  

So the "print to file" seems to be the best so far, even fonts stay editable.

I just want to get rid of all those Adobe Apps and work with Affinitiy, but there are still some very important features missing or buggy (esp. Publisher).

The app "Finale" does not give you any choice to control workspace nor export.
There are some hints that this app uses rgb, but I found no official statement.

But at least I found a new way: Printing to file (pdf or postscript) gives me a file, that (when opened and profile added in AD) has all blacks as 100k.

Unfortunately this app gives you no choice how to create export files. I only get this pdf as it is. 
(eps file is even worse ... they are not able to create an eps with embedded fonts. Illustrator can open eps without fonts as long as they are installed, AD not.)

The workaround by im/exporting with Publisher works fine, as I can see in Illu or Acrobat.
But opening it with AD afterwords turns everything again to rich black.

 

btw. In Illustrator I often use "Turn everything to greyscale" as a workaround. Is there anything similar in AD?

Now I’m new to ADesigner and there’s a colour problem stopping me.

Please have a look at this file. It’s been created with "Makemusic Finale".
This app does not work with colour profiles, so (as far as I know) there will be no profile included. The only colour used is 100k for strokes and fills.

Opening this file with my old Illustrator cs3 and saving it as an ai-file goes well. All elements stay at 100k.

But opening this file with AD all elements will be converted to 84-84-78-99 instead of 100k.
How can I prevent this conversion or convert everthing back to 100k?
