  1. I have managed to sort it out with the help of a couple of people on the Affinity Facebook group I firstly re installed Affinity 2 to the latest version, it still did crash if I exported directly as a tiff after the focus merge was completed. If I saved as an affinity document, opened that then exported as a tiff it works fine Very pleased that I can now run focus stacks with affinity 2 Although it’s another step to save as an affinity document then open that it doesn’t take a moment and I’m happy that I can now use affinity 2 properly 😀
  2. I’m finding that Affinity 2 , latest update is crashing when I export the file this is happening with large files after I have done a focus merge of 15 or more files , go to export and Affinity 2 crashes what I do is start new focus merge load up tiffs it runs ok and generates an untitled file, when I try to export it it crashes have to restart the program it’s not happening with single images I open to work on M1 MacBook Pro Canon R5 tiff files that have been converted from raw to tiff with DXO photolab OS Ventura , haven’t changed any hardware settings At the moment I’m having to use the original Affinity 1 to do focus stacking
  3. Thanks Paul and MEB at least I know I wasn’t missing anything and affinity on iPad will still be perfect for the majority of what I do the recent update has also solved the problem that I was sometimes getting with raw conversion of exposure of the opened raw file was incorrect
  4. I would like to open two images at once so that I can use the healing brush to copy an area from one image to another with iPad affinity I can’t work out how to do this In photoshop I would open two images make a background layer Use the healing brush to paint in from one image to the other use the erase tool to tidy up flatten image to merge the two layers I’m basically manually focus stacking is it possible to do this using affinity iPad ? I can’t figure out the first stage though, having two images open at once
  5. Yes it’s a shame though as the app isn’t usable for my canon files and which means that I have ended up using another app or processing on my PC
  6. Yes I’m having issues with Canon 6DMk2 raw files that apparently maybe due to using the apple raw engine at the moment I have gone back to processing on my pc which is disappointing
  7. Hi everyone I have an issue with the iPad version, on my new version iPad Pro I’m loading in Canon 6D mk 2 raws and about 2 out of 10 images are very dark in affinity develop , unusable , I ended up using affinity on my PC to convert them which was fine frustrating as affinity on iPad is otherwise excellent but this issue is a real problem for me as I end up having to process my raws on PC anyway the same shot is exposed perfectly on the windows version so it’s definitely just an issue with the iPad version of affinity , I have already posted in another section of the forum but I’m new here and only just realised that there is a specific section for affinity on iPad I really hope this can be resolved as affinity on iPad is otherwise excellent
  8. Thanks yes the windows version is fine I loaded up the same shot into the windows version and the shot was exposed perfectly I’ve also got affinity on my MacBook will have to check if that is working as it should its a shame as I have recently moved to affinity as I can no longer justify paying monthly for adobe photoshop and lightroom I am still learning to use Affinity properly but do really like it the raw conversion stage (develop) I believe is better than Lightroom
  9. I’m getting a similar issue with the iPad version I’m loading in Canon 6D mk 2 raws and about 2 out of 10 images are very dark in affinity develop , unusable , I ended up using affinity on my PC to convert them which was fine frustrating as affinity on iPad is otherwise excellent but this issue is a real problem for me as I end up having to process my raws on PC anyway
