  1. Hi! I recently downloaded Affinity Designer so I could vectorize my block print design which contains hand lettering. I was able to figure out how to trace the outside of the letters with the pen tool but I don't understand how to trace the inside of the letters (on the same layer) so that the background can show through. For example, the letter "o" is just a solid oval and I want to cut out the center so it looks like an "o." My experience with vector programs is quite limited and I haven't been able to figure this out on my own and can't find the info online. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
