If you're looking to access Affinity V2 from another app on Windows - for example, using Affinity Photo V2 as an External Editor in Raw Therapee, you will need to point to the app's execution alias. They can be found here (assuming default installation location):
Affinity Photo V2:
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps\AffinityPhoto2.exe
Affinity Designer V2:
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps\AffinityDesigner2.exe
Affinity Publisher V2:
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps\AffinityPublisher2.exe -

I'm also hoping to see a way to have Affinity apps working with Windows on ARM systems. There will be a wave of laptop coming.

A recent video about removing backgrounds points out a web-based technology that would be outstanding if it could be licensed by and incorporated into Affinity Photo or available as a plug-in. The video link is below (screen shot is from the video). It would be very, very useful for images with complex foregrounds.

This has been fixed in the beta:

I am not sure when the fix will be pushed to a retail update so if this is impacting your workflow, you can use the beta but be vigilant and make versioned copies of your projects to be safe.

Start photo, load an image, make a marquee selection, hit Q to enter quick mask mode now hit V to switch to move tool to modify said mask, now click CRASH!!!
it happens regardless if you load any kind of image or even if you create a new blank document & it only crashes if you click inside the selection, if you click anywhere else it doesn't crash. same things happens inside photo persona of publisher.
NOTE: I'm not attaching any pics or videos as I already confirmed this with a few users & they all reported the crash in exactly the same manner

+1, tested as well and i have the same crash. it's in the photo app, and persona inside publisher. tested on a windows laptop, and windows pc (both windows 10)
