[Affinity Designer: Insert Image into shape does not work...]

Thanks!  I finally got it to work.  The vertical vs horizontal explanation really helped.  It's very finicky!  It took me a few attempts.  But at least I know what I am trying to do with  it now.  Much appreciated!

Yes, I have viewed these videos and several others.  When I drag the image into the shape in the layers panel, it simply does not show up.  It is still just white space.  It appears that I am doing exactly what is on the video, so I am not sure what I am missing, or if there is some technical glitch that I need to address.  I am attaching the file for reference.  Trying to get the gentleman's image to appear inside the oval shape.

I am having the same struggle getting my image to appear within a shape.  What was the resolution for this?  It was not clear to me how the user resolved the issue.  Thanks!
