help plsssss

Using Affinity Designer: I created a new layer and moved multiple "groups" into that layer. The layer folder has a square with a colored circle icon, and within the layer, the groups' icons have a square with a slash through it that resembles the vector crop tool. All of my work looks like it has disappeared from my artboard. How do I fix this??????????? I wish I can attach an image to explain what this looks like....
