  1. Since the 1.5 update the circular pointer is not appearing on a consistent basis. Unfortunately, the 1.52 update has not entirely fixed the issue. I can click on the Inpainting or Dodge tools for example and not have the circle that tells me where I will be applying the tool. You can download and watch a video of the issue here: https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share/YF2EA4xsBxAJTc1XOCfBgM7TteDYb234Gn6Pa4stTVv?ref_=cd_ph_share_link_copy
  2. Glad to see all the improvements! Selection tools - High quality selection tools are fundamental. I am looking forward to a superb Magnetic Selection Tool! Currently the selection brush tool is not as precise as it should be. Your major competitors are more accurate in making selections. Need a black and white eye dropper to do white balancing. The white eye dropper needs to turn the selected color pure white, while the black turns the selected color pure black by altering the histogram pixel distribution. Photoshop is way ahead of Affinity Photo in this case. Photoshop yields a superior result with far less effort. Please fix this! Photos Extension: Photos extension desperately needs: 1. Clone tool 2. Magnetic selection tool 3. Tonal Contrast adjustments
  3. Nik Viveza and Affinity Photo can do many of the same things. However, Viveza can do these same things faster and easier. There is an audience for faster and easier. Viveza would make an excellent extension for Apple Photos. This gives Affinity the chance to sell a product to the customer who might not purchase Affinity Photo. MacPhun unfortunately, it not the solution. I own several of their excellent products. They are not compatible with Affinity Photo and they told me MacPhun would not supporting Affinity, they are an Adobe shop.
  4. My point is that Affinity should: Acquire the code Improve the code Incorporate the code Maintain the code for the reasons stated in my second post in this thread.
  5. I would like Viveza functionality build into Affinity Photo. Here are the reasons: 1. The free Nik Viveza plugin doesn't work with Affinity Photo. (I checked with Miguel this morning) 2. Viveza provides a powerful, quick, easy way of manipulating photos. Snapseed for iOS does nearly the same thing and is very popular with users. 3. Viveza was a very popular Photoshop add-in until Google purchased it and did nothing to promote it. 4. Viveza would make a great extension for Apple Photos. 5. Viveze allows beginner users to do advanced photo improvement quickly and easily, giving Affinity Photo another advantage over Adobe etc. 6. Google has decided to abandon the desktop and focus on smartphones. Affinity is a desktop app and could benefit from Nik Technology. 7. Affinity could additionally reconfigure the plugins as inexpensive Apple Photo extensions opening a new source of revenue for Affinity.
  6. I wish Affinity would acquire the newly abandoned Nik Viveza from Google. This would be a great addition to Affinity Photo, and a fantastic Photos extension. This is the number one feature I miss since moving to Affinity. Here is a link describing and showing Viveza: https://www.google.c...roducts/viveza/ YouTube links: https://www.youtube.com/watch?list=PLp5lYDsQi4gkL89jbJYu8rvCK0fDwHABP&v=tuCi1k7S0Ig https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMYTYMLoeNA&index=5&list=PLp5lYDsQi4gkL89jbJYu8rvCK0fDwHABP&nohtml5=False Here is the Google announcement of redirecting focus to smartphones.
  7. Please examine PaintShop Pro's printing function, it is by far the best printing function among photo editiors. Picasa's collage function also towers over Affinity Photo when it comes to printing. Why? Picasa and PaintShop Pro both allow users to place open images on a print layout page. The user can then determine the size and the position of each image on the page. Essentially PaintShop and Picasa are giving users basic layout capabilities. Basic layout tools create a one stop photo production process for many users. Users appreciate the functionality and the reduction in complexity. Affinity Photo is an excellent app, however, it really needs improvements in the printing area.
  8. I agree with the other users. The UI Gamma option is just too dark. If your computer monitor has light behind it, the interface is very difficult to read without closing the window blinds. Could you please increase the gamma range about 50%? Thank you for your consideration
  9. "It's not possible to set hardness for a square brush." Please remedy this issue! Junipermn appears to be correct with this statement - "All of the programs Affinity has as competitors, (Adobe, Paint Shop Pro, and PhotoLine), have the ability to change all parameters, including hardness, on all brushes, whether square or round." Affinity is so near to having an excellent program - please take the time to make the first release a knock out blow to the competiton. Not a competitor who may get it together at some indefinite point in the future. No one will remember or care if you take an additonal two weeks to get all the tweaks just right! Remember, glitches and difficulities are remembered for a long time, particularly with new products.
