That can easily be coded around. Just query the browser for .webp support and present .jpg's if .webp isn't supported.

If you have WordPress, you can use JPG and use a plugin that automagically serves up webp if the browser supports it. Like Powered Cache and some of the other cache do it. There may be non-cache plugins that do it. I don't know if any of them do it for free, but I guess JetPack *cringe* does it for free.

For anyone else that finds themselves in the same situation as me, and wants to keep the Nahimic software around for one reason or other - you can also search for a file called BlackApps.dat within C:\ProgramData\A-Volute\*\Modules\ScheduledModules\Configurator. I added Publisher.exe to the list, and it stopped injecting into the process and causing the UI issues. I'm still trying to find a decent balance between having the latest Realtek drivers from Asus and avoiding all the Nahimic stuff that comes with that.

Dell Alienware is running this stuff and adding the names of the executables in \ProgramData\A-Volute\DellInc.AlienwareSoundCenter\Modules\ScheduledModules\Configurator\BlackApps.dat works like a charm for me.

  3. Have problems with Affinity Photo 1.9.2.1035 and this Beta Version 1.10.0.1104

It happens with OpenCL enabled. I have no problems with Designer or Publisher with OpenCL enabled so far.

When clicking the Brushes tab, it takes 5 to 6 seconds to load and clicking the Styles tab take 20-30 seconds to load and the whole program is frozen until it loads. I am seeing some complete freezes sometimes and I click close and get the Windows crash reporter sending info to Microsoft.

If the Styles tab is already open, before running Photo, it takes 20-30 seconds to start.

    Disabling OpenCL solves the problems.

OS Name    Microsoft Windows 10 Home
    Version    10.0.19043 Build 19043

  4. Hey @Old Bruce I figured out a way to do what I wanted in Designer. I was stretching the text tall, so If I put the text on a flatter curve and then Convert to Curves, when I stretch the height, it does not splay out, giving the same result. The trick is, you have to put the text on the right curve so when you stretch it, it gives you the desired curve afterwards, because as you stretch it, the curve increases.
