thank you carl123 that seems to have sorted the problem, not sure how the brush changed to darken but, happy and grateful for you advice. edward g

in AP v2.0 i could use e.g. levels to change opacity levels to an area, then invert layer to hide changes. then use paint brush white to reveal part of the inverted layer i wish to be lighter/darker. however this seems to nolonger work. comments please thanks Edward G

hi i've just got the new om1!, on opening an orf raw file in develop persona, affinity shows half screen grey and half blue with yellow strip in middle. ( files taken on my old olympus still work correctly), do i need a new codex file or does the raw developer not recognise the new camera? if anyone can help thanks

thanks for your reply, yes the post you pointed me to fixed it, i was set to current changed to global then back to current. seems to have done the trick. i've not been to Hamburg yet... hope to when travel is better! thanks again

hello, can someone help please... when working an a file was was created using HDR merge and try to use the clone tool it does not pickup selected area, i note a previous comment which suggests "protect alpha" is on, yes.. may be how is protect alpha turned on / off? thanks

hi with new version 1.9 im having problems of programme freezing / not responding. my system 256ssd plus 2gb hard drive,16m ram, I7 processor, windows 10 affinity installed on ssd, images on HD any one else having same issues? any advice would be appreciated. thanks

hi, when changing a sky all seems to go OK but.... on the masked layer a pale halo is left between the new sky and masked layer. in the previous version of affinity i could clone up to fill the slight "gap" but now any more. Am i missing a step or is there a better way. any help and advice will be appreciated regards edward
