Simply reversing a string of letters is simple. But if you want kerning, spacing, ligatures, etc., then that is a different matter. For that you need a text engine designed to do that.
I need to type Persian. Simply reversing the letters is not a solution at all. 

I just discovered today there is no support for Hebrew/Yiddish. How hard is it to allow copy paste and the reverse all of the letters? Brute force this at least in an option.

A BIG vote for right2left support.

Serif already writes its own text engine. Which is one reason progress is complicated and involves time, not only for rtl languages, but also for complex ltr languages.
Adobe also has written its own text engine...but even they had to recently incorporate Harfbuzz for the more complex ltr languages.
It's not a small task. Serif will eventually handle some complex ltr and rtl languages.

Please support Arabic language. This was be requested many time from long time and till now the apps not support RTL
The problem that their answer: it won't be any time soon. There are many Arabic users who use this applications; I think this feature should be in the high priority.

All due respect, before the pandemic hit, there was information - from Affinity, I believe - that Publisher for iPad would arrive a year after the Desktop version was released. That would put it at this past summer, approximately.
I get why current events have changed everyone's plans - software developers included, but I can also understand why so many are interested in the status of great software, such as that produced by the Affinity team.

That's to less for such a big update, they will for sure add much more like mesh - width tool - better perspective control - smart fill - (and hopefully multiple language support).

I was so happy with my Affinity Designer trial that I was about to buy it, but the fact it doesn't support Arabic script is quite appalling, especially as free software like Inkscape supports RTL. I'm disappointed that I won't be able to use Affinity for my work but I'm even more disappointed that your development team is fobbing off a large chunk of the world. You aren't holding your hands up and saying "Ah, we don't have this yet, we need to fix this fundamental glaring oversight", you're saying "our internal company process will keep our software unusable by anyone using RTL or complex script for the forseeable future". Quite pathetic and I'll have to start over now finding good software to work with.
Why on Earth are people on here having to justify what language we speak?! Is it 2020 or is this some alternative global hegemeny I've walked into?

Support for RTL languages I hope!!!!!!! I am having a nightmare with Publisher and RTL but because I love Affinity I am not giving up...!

Sorry, but nobody needs your fixer to be implemented into Affinity, it's not the way a development works. We need native RightToLeft support.

in iran we had somethings like that for a long time it seems... (never noticed till now) There is Roya writer, Maryam writer and etc...
Roya I think is free.
Maryam costs less then 3 usd in here.
And there is some more I didn't bother to check.

Roya writer is not perfect but the outcome 100% works.
