  1. The issue is at the end of the video. The font reverts to what is was before when a blank cell is selected. Table fonts.mp4
  2. How do I change the default font and size for a select portion of a table? Right now when I select a portion of the table and assign a new font, it works fine. But when I type in a cell that is empty, it goes back to the orginal font.
  3. The problem went away when I closed the program and opened it back up. Hopefully it won't be an ongoing issue. I'm using Publisher 1.10.1.1142 with Windows 10.0.19042. Font is Arial Regular.
  4. When using Artistic text tool I am finding that the backspace no longer functions. When I press it it makes a square. It also only types in all caps. This just started happening. It's never been an issue before
  5. I want to insert a shape into a cell of a table using Publisher. I was hoping to insert it into the table itself rather adding a separate layer but not seeing how to do it.
  6. I installed the font used in the music notation program I use but still had the same results. I tried the beta version of Publisher and that worked. Thanks!
  7. Newbie here. I'm having trouble placing content with music notes in Publisher. I selected "place" from drop the file menu and uploaded the pdf. When it shows in Publisher the notes disappear. I've include two screen shots. The second picture is what it looks like in Publisher.
  8. Ok, attached a publisher file. Not sure if I did that right. May 2020.afpub
  9. No, when I release the mouse after highlighting the selection area, the selected area disappears.
  10. Status bar says: Drag to marquee select. Click an object to select it.
  11. Actually, the problem is that when I select the area, it will highlight the area when I click down on the mouse but when I release the highlighted area disappears.
  12. Tried it in a new document and still not working. One thing I'm noticing is that when I select it I'm not getting the squares around the the numbers like what's shown in your example. Just a box around the entire table
  13. Maybe I accidentally locked a layer or did something with the formatting when trying to figure out what to do. I think I'll start over with another document and try the the group function in that. Thanks for your help.
  14. I selected the table then used the group function but the solid and dotted lines are still not moving with the numbers when I select the table and move it
  15. I actually want to move everything. Grouping sounds like what I need to do but I can't find it.
  16. Without snapping, I'm getting duplicates of text inside of table while lines stay in place. I made pdfs of original and what happens when table is movedmoved.pdf. I changed table grids to white because I don't want them shown. (Maybe I shouldn't be using a table and just using the grid) original.pdf
  17. Newbie here. Using the pen tool, I drew a few lines within a table I created. I then tried moving the table but the lines stayed in place when the table was moved. I found out about snapping and tried a few settings. The lines continued to stay put when I moved the table. In some settings the the text stays in the old position and a duplicate is made in the new position (which is not what I want). What snap settings do I need to move the lines with the table?
  18. Thanks, good to know about assets and that there are fonts for music notation characters.
  19. Hey, I'd like to add music stick notation in Affinity Publisher. Tried finding it in special characters but could not find any. Is it possible to create custom characters. Or alternatively, is it possible to save drawn lines to be used many time over? https://www.finalemusic.com/blog/creating-kodaly-solfege-notation-with-finale/
