  1.  I think people are missing the true value of having a suite of professional software for a one-time only payment of £89.99!

I bought all 3 V1 apps during one of the sales for around £75. I'm not a professional/freelance designer and have no intention of becoming one either. I have used AD occasionally, and have never touched AP yet :)

I will be more than happy to pay the discount offer for the V2 universal licence, not that I need all the apps, but because I want to support a small business competing against giants.

I hope the success of this new launch secures Serif and its products (and non-subscription model) for years to come. Wish others felt the same way.

  2. Hi All,

I'm new to AP and photography. I want to reduce images taken from my camera (6000x4000) to 2100x1500 so I can print them at 7x5. There are two ways to do this as far as I can tell:

    1) Resize Document and select desired Units, with 'Resample' ticked (Bilinear).

    2) Create a new document at desired resolution, insert larger image, and use the Move Tool handles to reduce the image so it fits the canvas.

Option 2 seems quicker when resizing lots of images, but does it work the same way as option 1? When you move the handles to reduce the image, is AP automatically resampling using the same method as option 1 as the image is being reduced? Is one way better than the other?

    Thanks.

  3. Hi Everyone,

New (and clueless) owner of the Affinity suite :)

I'm trying to create a rectangle shape with text, on a transparent background. I want to then remove the text so that the shape and text is now on a transparent background (similar to a letter stencil).

I also have Affinity Designer, if that is more suitable for this task.

Any advice will be gratefully appreciated!

    Thanks.

    Baz
