In Photo, Affinity 2.4, White Balance adjustment layer, "Picker" simply turns off when clicked; same with Curves, and Affinity Photo 1.10.8.18 (which I still have installed), though I remember it working previously on AP 1. I even tried moving both apps to an external hard drive. (The photograph was under fluorescent lights and the chosen WB camera setting came out rather pink). I'm on a MacBook Air 2020 (M1). Is there any way to add in a fixed white point (ie. 255/255/255 in RGB) rather than depend on visual?

Thanks -- I ended up using good old shutdown - restart on my laptop and thankfully it recovered.

Gave up and shut down my MacBook (had to use Force Quit) and reopened -- all seems OK with Affinity!

Also it seems that "merge visible" works, but differently -- it creates a "destructively cropped" layer above the untouched original -- nice if you just want to extract a bit to copy to another image collage-style, without changing the original.

My mistake!! I was attempting to copy to a much smaller image and mistook the edge of the cropped image for its original -- thanks for "Rasterize/trim".

"Rasterize and trim" appears to work on my image (an unlocked background layer -- or locked, for that matter) but copy/paste onto another document still moves the uncropped image. I even tried making a new document from the clipboard, looked OK, copying that still showed the original. Argh...

I am looking for the defringe live filter: Is this incorrect? https://affinity.help/photo/en-US.lproj/index.html It says "This adjustment is available only in Develop Persona" (but it does seem to be in Photo). in Develop, my menu bar only has File, Edit, View, Window and Help; and there is no layers panel, is that right? (Affinity 1.8.6, Macbook pro).

I purchased Affinity Photo on Dec. 19, 2018, order # ********. Admittedly I've hardly used it yet but my email seems to have disappeared from your client list and I can't update. Hope you can help, I'm about to lose Photoshop!
