yes the render is correct at 100% zoom in both Designer and Publisher.
@NotMyFault Looks like a zoom rendering issue in Designer and Publisher. If some values are changed, I will get better results in Designer for rendering, but not exactly the one expected from Photo and the zoom is not corrected.

I have one display (iMac 27), the same color profile set to sRGB (I tried with P3 too), same renderer for the display (metal), I tried with both OpenGL and software and I had the same color issue.
I have attached a video to better explain the problem. You will also find the file if you want to try!

Hi!
I'm using a live lightning filter layer to create my normal map from a grayscale image in Photo.
If I open the same file in Designer or Publisher I get strange color values.
I'm working on Intel iMac 2017 with Ventura 13.6.1.

I just found the solution: I unchecked in the settings the "automatically update linked resources when modified externally" and when I open the working document I have the notification and no corrupted elements!
If I check the option I get the missing linked file notification and corrupted elements as before.
So it looks like an inversion issue only in Designer and not in Photo on my side.

Have you tried closing the main working document, creating a new artboard in the linked document, saving it, and opening the main document to see the changes?
I just tried using copy/paste and got the same bug on my closed working document when I opened it.
I still don't get the notification of the linked file updated in Designer and the resource manager has no option to update the linked file in Designer.
I have to open with Photo to get both the notification and the ability to update the linked file in the resource manager.

Since updating to 2.1, whenever I create a new artboard in a linked (non-embedded) file, all linked items in my working file are broken with Designer: Instead of showing the linked artboard, I have the linked file preview for each linked item in my artboard file. (the linked file has multiple artboards). Appears each time I reopen the working file, not during the edit process.
So the "working" solution for me is to open the document in Photo, manually update the linked file with the resource manager, save it and open it with Designer in order to get the correct rendering of each linked element.
Looks like a bug with the Designer Resource Manager as it should update automatically if there are any changes.

I totally missed the addition of the Flood Selection Tool...brain magic... (since 1.9?).
The Text Frame on Designer is set with a light blue colored background, I just want to have a transparent background.

I work in the video game industry and have been using Photoshop for over 20 years. 2 years ago I switched to the affinity suite to do UI for games. I need a full set of tools to do what I used to do with only Photoshop: vector, photo editing, mockup, icons, etc...
Affinity Designer is very versatile, but I only need two tools exclusive to Photo and Publisher, namely the Flood Selection Tool and the Text Frame. It's a bit silly to use 3 software for only two missing tools. For now, I have no choice if I really want to get rid of Photoshop for my work.

The export persona is missing on publisher, text frame on designer is very limited (blue background color...). I need to have multiple softwares up to date, multiple assets, brushes, configs and custom shortcuts for each app so that's why I think one Affinity app would be very great. I don't want to constantly switch between softwares, it costs memory and disk spaces.
For small budget, we can think of "volume" to activate like the studio link with limited features, problem solved!

Hi, I have an artboard project with several frames but it crashes with the new version of affinity designer. Here is the log attached.

Unfortunately you can't do anything... it's the same for vector shape layers too and we requested a fix for several years...
Well, the "best" solution for your case is to select all text and image layers with effects applied (with "Select object / Select same") and edit manually the desired values in the Effects panel next to Layers. (It will be applied for all selected items)

Sometimes when I come back from sleep mode the app crashed. Sometimes I do something else and within minutes / hours I get a pop-up with the crash.
I'm working on a artboard file with multiple effects applied (blur, outer shadow, etc ...) with the latest version of Designer and the crash may appear multiple times per day but never when I'm working on it!
