  1. Hello, I am having trouble making the outer glow show up with a background layer color. I thought if the background layer was all the way at the bottom of the layer chain, it would show up. What should I be doing? Top photo of the glow, and bottom photo of the glow being gone once I have a background layer in.
  2. thank you, for some reason I had trouble getting those tools to work, but I will try again and figure it out.
  3. Hello, I'm still very new at this. I copied one of her fingers to make it look like she was holding something bigger. How do I match the finger to make it look like it's attached? Sometimes I think I'm using tools on the correct layer but then I don't see any changes (particularly the lone finger layer). Also any other advice on how to improve what I've done would be lovely too...
  4. wait, I think I know what's happening. I am able to edit, but only in the section I deleted using the selection brush tool. So... how do I make the trace lines go away and be able to edit off the whole image again? Sorry, I'm new to this.
  5. Yes, I pulled the bar to see more and it is a pixel image. I'm still stuck. I can't figure out why I am able to use tools with another image but not for this one (when I was editing on it a couple days ago -- I was eliminating the background with the selection brush). I'm still able to make my brush bigger with the bracket keys, but I can't do anything (clone, inpainting...). I toggle between this image and the one I am able to edit on and I see no difference in things selected.
  6. Would it work if I made it a pixel layer? I just tried doing the cloning tool and inpainting brush tool to another image and it works fine on that pixel image, but I can't do any of that to the one I want to be working on.
  7. I did think it was an image layer and Right-clicked Rasterize, but nothing changed.
  8. Hello, I am also having this problem. Alt, click, and I get the plus symbol on the part I want to color clone, but then nothing shows up in the circle for me to clone. I take my mouse over to the part I want to apply the clone, click on it and nothing changes. Aligned source is unclicked. Layer is unlocked and I believe I'm on the layer I want to work on. Hardness is 80 (but I feel that's something to toy with once I actually clone something?) Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
  9. Thank you! I didn't quite figure it out in Publisher, but I was able to open up Paint 3D and I swear even though I previously tried it, this time I was able to black fill in the transparent background. So then I just dragged that new saved image into the look book I'm creating in Publisher.
  10. Hello! I think I have a similar question -- I dragged a JPEG into Affinity Publisher (Publisher is all I have). I made sure the JPEG had a transparent background because I thought once I pulled it in, the background would fill to match the black rectangle I had created as the bottom layer that everything stacks onto. But I'm still left with a transparent checkerboard background on the image and when I try to fill, it fills everything on the jpeg. I want the main image left as is, but the transparent background on the JPEG to be filled in (black). Any help would be greatly appreciated!
