  1. Hello, Using Affinity Designer on my M1 iMac connected via Sidecar with my iPad Pro is the basis of my workflow. It worked perfectly fine until around the time when Apple introduced Universal Control to macOS Monterey. Now my iPad regularly freezes while working, and I need to click disconnect on it's side panel, the Affinity Designer window moves back to iMac, and I need to reconnect via Sidecar again, until the whole things happens again. Sometimes after half an hour, sometimes after minutes. Needles to say, it makes working with this setup impossible. I've seen that iPad freezing while using Sidecar is a known issue on Apple forums, but the suggested workarounds (disable Face ID on iPad, use cable connection etc) don't seem to work for me. I'm 99% convinced it's an Apple issue, however one thing makes me wonder - if I connect to iPad via Sidecar and only use it as a second display (for example, i put Pages on iPad and copy the text from it back to Affinity Designer that's open on iMac) it seems to work fine. I've got all the apps and operating systems updated. My WiFi works completely fine (besides, the issue happened via cable connection as-well). Again, it's probably not an Affinity issue but if any of you guys came across a similar problem and somehow resolved it, I would really appreciate some help. The only workaround I've found for now is downloading Astropad. It's an app that basically gives you functionality similar to Sidecar (makes iPad a graphics tablet for Mac), but it's paid and subscription-based, so it would be a bit frustrating to pay for something that previously worked for free as a built in macOS feature.
  2. Thanks for this info! Love all the new features in Affinity Designer 1.9, but this thing's been driving me nuts. I'm using macOS with Magic Mouse and the amount of accidental canvas rotations was infuriating Glad to know I can turn it off.
  3. Thanks for sharing that insight. While it's not a deal breaker it's certainly annoying and I'd love to see that issue resolved in a future update.
  4. That's possible but all the issues I've reported happen in Pixel persona, after switching to Designer persona and back.
  5. Update: I've tested the issue some more and it doesn't even need the shape to happen. It happens with few different brushes while switching personas (Designer->Pixel->Designer). I've attached a screenshot with a couple brush lines before and after switching personas. I've also asked a couple of my friends who also use Affinity Designer and they had the same issue (both on Mac and Windows).
  6. Hello, Thank you for the long trial period. I'm new to Affinity, but so far I've been loving it and thinking about ditching my current software and switching to yours. Recently I've spotted a weird problem that's been kind of messing with my workflow. When I draw inside vector shapes in Pixel persona, first line is usually blurry. Then, after I choose other brush, and then go back to the same one again, it's perfectly fine. I've made a screenshot to illustrate the problem. I'm using up-to-date trial version of Affinity Designer on iMac running the latest macOS Catalina (10.15.4). Seems like a bug, but maybe it's something on my end? If so, can i fix it?
