  1. Yes. And the color picker tool in their app still doesnt have that hover animation. I dont know what I paid for anymore, its like they arent listening to anything
  2. You have TWO gradient modes THAT BOTH BEHAVE IN THE SAME WAY IN THEIR DEFAULT STATE. GUESS WHAT? When users deliberately select ELIPSE GRADIENT instead of radial, they EXPECT an ELIPSE. I had Designer on iPad for a year and I still have a 5 second delay/lag in my mind and ask myself why the hell is the ellipse gradient not working, until I realized somebody had the brilliant idea of keeping aspect ratio locked in it’s default state.
  3. What is serif raw engine? im on ipad and 1.9 and 1.8 open RAW files the exact same way
  4. Thats apsolutely not happening here. I have to tap some elements seventeen times before they get activated.
  5. The app crashed multiple times when applying a perspective filter on a 720p jpeg… Maybe it’s MY device only, or my system, I don’t know what it is. I reinstalled iPad OS four days ago hoping performance issues would be resolved.
  6. I don’t have an idea how do you guys define “good performance”, this is not it. I’m done with re-installing my whole iPad system, the apps, giving feedback and logs, begging and searching for a fix… This is too tedious. I can’t wait until Adobe catches up feature wise. The stability of their app is magnificently better. IMG_2568.MOV
  7. I want to ask, and very politely so, how on EARTH can Affinity’s AI (across all products) produce such low quality selections? The image is simply white, take out the WHITE! Instead of doing that, the program creates some middle gray and makes the image muddy. In most cases, selections look BETTER when done by hand than in Refine Selection. Not only that, but the app MUST give real photographers the option to turn OFF automatic selection “enhancement” when you go to “Selection Refinement”. Spmetimes I spend decades selecting the whole subject by hand, then I enter “Selection Refinement” and instead of letting me choose WHERE i want to refine it, Affinity Photo proceeds to mud up all edges of the image.
  8. And ps. those columns option should be more easily accessible, it’s way to hard going to 7 submenus to change the width of a column.
  9. Building on my previous feedback for the annoying spell-checker and weird guides behavior on iPad: Opening a document originally created in Affinity Publisher, I have spell-checking turned off, and no guides or columns turned on. When I exit the document and come back in, everything seems fine — but then the red spell checking lines appear again! Ok, let’s turn them off AGAIN. What? Turning off spell checking immediately turns on all margin/column guides… So now, every time I open a document, not only do I have to check off spell checking but I also need to go deep in that annoying menu and hide all columns. This is crazy!
  10. I know that it sounds like I’m a Karen customer that only complains, but this is unusable for professional work. I am scared every time i start panning. The app crashes while painting a white color on a NEW layer on an iPhone image file. Roll this update back
  11. This unbelievable. Crashed more than two times while i was working on an image taken WITH MY IPHONE, not a complex camera. This is unbelievable. Going back to the crippled Photoshop on iPad, at least it never crashed in my life. Disappointed. crash.afphoto Photo iPad-2020-08-14-135259.ips Photo iPad-2020-08-14-190648.ips
  12. Literally… the apps crash crazy when you play a video in picture in picture
  13. I hope that it will be possible for the crop tool to snap on an image in a document, for example. Could be really really useful.
  14. Absolutely, but only if this animation you have showed me is actually a part of a huge scenery in the jungle… I’m imagining all these trees, that lion, and something happening with a story… All drawn in your style — it would be so cool!!! I really like the watercolorish feel
  15. I asked this for future measure only, I realized that I have actually always saved stuff to the desktop first and then transferred to the external drive/usb.
  16. I was working on a file that I began on my iPad, using iCloud synced it to my PC and finished working on my PC. (Win10 ver2004). I saved it to the desktop, and i noticed that the thumbnail was not generated. I just thought “windows bug probably” and I moved the file to my external drive I was keeping all my documents in.
  17. Exactly. And when iPad opens a file, it never writes directly, only imports to affinity photo.
  18. Sorry i didnt know what logs to send exactly, there were thousands of them from affinity photo. i sent you all logs that were generated on friday, the day when i started this thread ipad logs.zip
  19. For example, one of the things that changed is that “Cache screen updates (uses more memory)” setting is unavailable. I don’t know much about it, but it has to do something with memory and it’s missing from the General preferences. Does this have to do anything with your performance changes to the app?
  20. And sorry if i wasn't clear, the issue occurs throughout the working experience, not only when importing files. I don’t know if Apple updated the way ram is managed, or if you changed the way you render images, but something happened in the last two months. I swear, i’m not making it up. I think the bunch of videos from above proved that.
  21. This is happening on larger files (either 16 bit or more than 30 megapixels). When watching videos in Picture in picture, the app crashes even more frequently even on regular 8-bit 20MB raw files from Canon 6D. It even crashes without me watching video or having any app open. In the previous release I watched hours of content while working on a huge composite, in this release i cant even work uninterrupted without a crash. I dont know what you guys changed, you only know that, but I know that all of us heavier users definetly experienced severe issues on iPad after the newest update. I reported on it the day I tried the TestFlight beta.
  22. Apsolutely. Working on files off USB drives should be disabled. I thought affinity could bring the document on the macbooks hard drive in the background without me moving it over, kinda like what photoshop does
