Hi,
I am new to Affinity Designer and I have some feedback.
1) I saw that Affinity offers possibility to add Unsplash imgs directly from the app, witch is amazing. Why isn't there the same thing for google fonts?
2) Will in the future be added a tool similar to shape builder tool and smooth tool from Illustrator.

I have DISABLE  ` Use Windows Ink for table input `  and now it works fine! I have read on this forum that I need to have it enable because Affinity requires it.

If the pixel layers have transparent backgrounds and/or are clipped with vector shapes, this would work:

Either create a new layer and place the whole illustrations into it
or group all elements of the illustration.

Add a layer effect to the layer/group you made -> Outline.

I have found a single tutorial similar to what I need and he provided this trample, This is exactly how I build patterns. I change the look of it as I don't need other graphics in my workflow and for the brick pattern I did not use a square as I could not manage to make it fit inside of one.
 
Also, since you this good with creating pattern brushes why the Holy Mother of Tarzan you don't make a tutorial? Or the secret knowledge shall not be share (with a black lambo in the background)?  
 

I use an 'intensity brush' for all my raster brushes....but have not used the sub brush in this case..it works once you get the hang of the pattern.It's the direction that is a bit awkward...Had the same problem with isometric brushes a while ago..

I am extending the brush set to include 400dpi/848px square for the base pattern + 2 /4 /6 /8 /10 line width...nearly finished!..should improve the quality!
 

I have also worked in Photoshop / Illustrator since CS 4, maybe the Affinity way fit you batter. But for me just makes the progress a bit annoying having to go to color tab every time I need to change the color.
 
I have moved them around too many times to find a nice balance  but the 2 column part is the annoying part. Hard to enplane. However this is the version that I use now and it seems ok so far.

Yeah, the Serif staff are a friendly bunch.

If you're talking about the gif, I use a simple and really basic software: "licecap". I'm on Windows, I don't know if it works on Mac.

You seem to have missed the ‘Expand Stroke’ step.

This is a setting in Preferences: User Interface

I could not find anywhere where I could activate Windows Ink for my tablet. At the end it's doesn't really matter. For what I need my pressure sensitivity WinTab is enough. I am happy that it works as it does.

Yea, that was it, somehow I missed that when clicking all the switches in the tool bar. Thank you.
