Could you explain the steps you need to take to get it to crash please so I can try and replicate it? can you also tell me which Mac and macOS you are using too? If you attach your crash log here I can get someone to take a look at it.

Hi @cance440 When it crashes do you get a crash log? If so could you upload it here so we can take a look please? Do you also know what other apps you tend to be using when Designer crashes? I have a new M1 laptop so would like to try and reproduce the issue.

Could you upload a video of the issue happening and zip up the document and the assets so I can try and reproduce it myself? I have created a dropbox folder you to upload them to here.

Hi @jansindl3r I can't see what you are trying to achieve from your video of the layers but I think you need to be placing a filled shape onto the image layer. This is how I achieved removing the background of a photograph. Removing-the-background.mov

Hi @thomaso Sorry for the delay in replying to your both of these posts. I have not been able to reproduce this on the latest Publisher Release build 1.9.3. That may be that I have not configured my panels the right way yet though so could you have a quick check to see if you are still seeing this in 1.9.3 as well please?

Hi @A_B_C I Asked about the latest Beta as this thread is a Publisher beta thread from a while ago so it may be better in the next beta. I've just tried to recreate the issue using the current Release build 1.9.3 and I get something different to you. It reverts to Table Body and my two styles - Red Column Header and Blue Column Header 1 are both there and can be selected.

HI @NimmDir Sorry for the delay in replying to your post. I'm not sure whether you have resolved this issue but if not here are my tips. After you place the .ai file in your document highlight the image and select Document > Resource Manager > Embed > Then on my Surface Pro I go to Layer Panel - click the Layer with the Embedded image. On Mac I just double-click the image - both should result in another window opening up.

Hi @sdv development Welcome to the Affinity forums! Sorry for the delay in replying to your post. I have been able to recreate this issue, It happens when the stroke is set to align inside. It has been reported before so has also been logged. I will add your info to the issue to give it a bump.

Hi @Macwelshman Thanks for the files. I was unable to reproduce the crash so the issue you are experiencing may be from a linked image that I currently don't have. Could you try doing the following to see if you can make it work on your computer? Find the folder the linked images are kept in. Rename the pictures folder - this should break all the links and emulate what I am seeing. Reopen the document - you will be asked if you want to locate your missing resources. Select Yes and navigate to the renamed folder - it will automatically update the remaining missing images. If this doesn't work could you "Save as Package" and upload it to the folder I linked above please?
