  1. I am requesting a crop to opaque tool in the crop tool in the main photo persona, similar to the one in the panorama persona -- this would be very useful, especially for perspective adjustments.
  2. It works if you open the image in the photo persona first, then go into the develop persona.
  3. Is there a way to brush in a straight line? It would be quite useful. GIMP has this feature (I used to use GIMP). As far as I know, there is only a stabilizer, but that isn't as good as a straight line when it comes to completely straight objects.

  5. Try using the blend ranges tool by clicking the gear icon right next to the blending options in the layer dialog, then play around with the underlying composition ranges. The right side of that box represents highlights, the left side represents shadows. The problem with your whole method and this method as well, is that it will darken anything within the same tonal range as the white specks, e.g. the highlights on the bug, and even if you could isolate the white specks, it would fill the specs with a solid color, which doesn't seem natural with the background, so what you can also do is use the inpainting and blemish removal tool to eliminate the specks. Here's a picture of what the first method results in and a picture of the second method (I was unsure if you wanted to remove the big white circles at the top and also did a really quick job of it, if you take your time, I'm sure it'll look great!): The first method could be used to isolate the specks and then you could probably do a ton of other things, but the white specks are quite visible as already is in the photo, so I'm still against the first method.
  6. you can undo the develop and go back and redevelop it to your tastes, or fade the develop from Layer > Fade/Shift + Command + F, if you want to decrease the effect a little. these are just a couple of options I can think of right now, but I also hope a new update for this comes out!
  7. If you want to only apply to a certain area, then you have to click on the exposure adjustment layer, click control + i. This will invert the mask so that the mask is black, meaning the exposure adjustment is not affecting anything. Then, use your white paint brush tool to paint on the areas you want to be affected -- making sure that you select the right layer, your opacity and flow are at 100%. This should do the trick.
  8. I'm not exactly sure how this would work, but the photos app on MacOS has the feature I'm talking about... and it works quite well even on photos without a super distinct horizon. Maybe it's included in metadata, idk?
  9. Yes, but I've seen other programs having an auto straighten function which I think would be quite useful, although the crop tool's straighten function is also quite good.
  10. It seems like when I'm moving my mouse to the macro and then clicking while my mouse is still moving, but about to stop, it doesn't work. Perhaps this is a feature update to make sure that clicking the macro should tolerate a little bit of movement, because I found that the macro only works if my mouse pointer is completely still when I click it.
  11. An auto Straighten feature would be really nice, especially when dealing with so many photos that just need slight straightening.
  12. When you click on the tone-mapping persona, it immediately starts quite a lengthy process of tone mapping. There have been times when I click on the person by accident, which then stops my workflow by having to wait for the tone mapping to complete, then cancel out of the persona. Could you make a feature that would solve this problem, perhaps a confirmation dialog or something to solve this rare, yet inconvenient problem. Maybe you could make it a setting where you can turn the feature on or off, depending on whether the user would want the feature or not, as I suppose there are those who wouldn't enjoy clicking a confirmation dialog every single time when going into tone mapping persona. Thanks.
  13. I would love a feature that automatically identifies the edges in a photo and applies a vertical, horizontal, or both, distortion to make the edges straight. Darktable has this feature if you would like to check it out. Alternatively, you could make a feature that allows lines to be drawn on straight edges, then Affinity Photo will automatically straighten the perspective based on those lines, such as the feature in Lightroom. I ask this because for people who like to get things pretty exact, it's quite tedious to use the perspective tool, change the source, and then align it -- it's quite complicated. Thanks for considering this reply!
  14. On random occasions, the macros from the library menu will not play. I click them but they refuse to play. Sometimes, certain macros will play but others won't. Am I doing something wrong?
