Importing photos directly from gallery on iPad

In AP 1, you hit the plus sign ((upper right) and choices include “import from photos.” Possibly changed in AP 2, but I happily use AP 1. -
So what are we doing?

I very sincerely want to thank Affinity for keeping version 1 available, alive and even recently updated to work with Mac OS Ventura. I am 76, mostly retired, and very comfortable with how the Version 1 apps function. I do not need or want to learn Affinity all over again, which it seems from all the comments about Version 2, would be necessary. So, again, thank you Affinity, from this long time user! -

I agree!!!!!! Transitioning from the desktop version is enough of a challenge. Please consider at least a preference option for larger interface icons! Thank you.
