Affinity Photo for Windows 1.6.0 is now live.
 
We are pleased to announce the first update for Affinity Photo for Windows (version 1.5.2).
 
The update can be downloaded from here. Once downloaded, close Affinity Photo and run (double click) the downloaded EXE to install it.
 
A list of the fixes this release contains is being prepared and will be posted shortly.
 
To install this version you will need to have the Affinity Photo for Windows already installed OR you will need to type in your email address and a valid Product key when prompted. When installing on top of an existing version you will not be prompted for the product key. If you need it you can find your product key (and a download button) in your Affinity store account, where you will also find the email address used to generate the key when you ordered the software. 
 
If you have installed any previous beta version of Affinity Photo 1.5.2, that beta can be safely uninstalled before or after installing this release update, they are independent installs. The beta will stop working soon anyway.

I've been using the Beta and here are some things I've found about missing translations to Spanish or typos, and a single application error. If I find more, I'll post it here to help you guys.
 
It should be "lugar" insstead of "ligar" There should be a period at the end of the text line as well, after "SVG".  

 
Translation for "Show Glyph Browser" would be "Mostrar explorador de Glifos" or "Mostrar explorador de Pictogramas". It should be "Estilos", with a single "t".  

 
It should be "Gama", with a single "m" if we are talking about color intensity. "Gamma" in Spanish is the greek letter or the radiation. Translation for "UI Style" would be "Estilo de interfaz de usuario".

Translation for "Smallest Size" would be "Más Pequeño". Translation for "Small Size" would be "Pequeño". Translation for "Medium Size" would be "Mediano". Translation for "Large Size" would be "Grande". Translation for "Largest Size" would be "Más Grande". Translation for "Glyphs" would be "Pictogramas". Unicode should stay the same. Translation for "Clear Recently Used" would be "Borrar usados recientemente".  

 
Translation for "View Samples" would be "Ver ejemplos". Translation for "View Tutorials" would be "Ver tutoriales". Translation for "Connect" would be "Conectar". Translation for "User Forums" would be "Foros de usuarios".  

 
Finally, when I was browing the Glyphs suddenly this error appeared. After clicking "Aceptar", Designer closed.

I can't find a changelog for 1.6 anywhere. Usually there is a link with the announcement\download post, but this is for 1.6.0.71 which is for the .71 bugfix, not the 1.6 features.
 
Where can I find this?
 
UPDATE: Got it now - for some reason it's been merged into the 1.6.0.71 announcement.

Sorry, but from our tests it would appear that the current installer only works IF YOU HAD ALREADY HAD A BETA INSTALLED. Unfortunately if you are on a machine that has not had an Affinity Photo Customer Beta installed,then this current beta reports that your beta has expired when you try to run it.
 
We will make a new installer that will work whether you have had a customer beta before or not. We will make this replacement 1.6 beta installer available as soon as possible.

Happens on my PC too, with both GPU's. Never recovers.
 
Both Develop & Photo Persona's seems to be associated with image size as 5DsR & Fuji X100T don't recover.
 
 

Reproducible here in 1.6.0.70 beta but not in release build 1.5.2.69. My modest system uses Intel HD 4400 graphics (integrated into the processor circuitry).

For any file types which are not allowed for attachments, you can attach them (subject to the 20MB file size limit) by zipping them up first.

Exactly the same problem here. At 100% in Affinity 1.5.2 final, PS CC, Paintshop Pro X9, Dxo Optics Pro 11 there is no pixellation. Only in both Beta 70 and 71.

Affinity Designer for Windows 1.6.0 is now live (this is an older thread).
 
We are pleased to announce the second update for Affinity Designer for Windows (version 1.5.3).
 
The update can be downloaded from here. Once downloaded, close Affinity Designer and run (double click) the downloaded EXE to install it.
 
A list of the fixes this release contains is being prepared and will be posted shortly.
 
To install this version you will need to have the Affinity Designer for Windows already installed OR you will need to type in your email address and a valid Product key when prompted. When installing on top of an existing version you will not be prompted for the product key. If you need it you can find your product key (and a download button) in your Affinity store account, where you will also find the email address used to generate the key when you ordered the software. 
 
If you have installed any previous customer beta version of Affinity Designer 1.5.3, that beta can be safely uninstalled before or after installing this release update, they are independent installs. The beta will stop working soon anyway.

Oops, a restart of AD sorted out the character color. It is pretty soft, not crisp but I think I saw a post about that.
 
I would think having a white background in the Glyph Browser better than the gray.

Sorry, but from our tests it would appear that the current installer only works IF YOU HAD ALREADY HAD A BETA INSTALLED. Unfortunately if you are on a machine that has not had an Affinity Designer Customer Beta installed,then this current beta reports that your beta has expired when you try to run it.
 
We will make a new installer that will work whether you have had a customer beta before or not. We will make this replacement 1.6 beta installer available as soon as possible.

Windows Store apps do require Windows 8 which is the OS version that introduced it. There no Windows Store in Windows 7.
