  1. Yes we would do something like this in that unlikely event, but not presently. (I'd like to think it has a longer lifetime that a week )
  2. @bntbntbnt Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums The 40% off Software Sale will be available until the 14th December 2022. When the sale ends it will go to full price

  4. Yes but only just, so yes if you have already started the 30 day trial. The 40% off Software Sale will be available until the 14th December 2022. When the sale ends it will go to full price

  7. This new decision will need us to implement it. We need to decide whether it's in everyone's account or on this sort of public page. We will tell customers when we know how we plan to implement it.
  8. @michie If you already have V1 DON'T WORRY AND DON'T BUY V2. As I said you will find it in the store you already bought it on. What is your OS and where did you get V1?
  9. This does work but will need to be repeated when the software updates, so easy but will need repeating
  10. No, not as far as I know. There is monitoring but nothing that will block you in this case. Reinstalling on the same machine counts as one use, so cannot get you in trouble
  11. I care about customers and will push for a long term option. We have discussed a few that are easy to implement and we understand why this current approach concerns the more cautious. If the service is down the software already has some fallback code but I think more can and will be done
  12. @michie Did you already buy V1 before we launched V2 or not? If you are, then you will still find it in the store where you bought it. <edit> Suggestion removed as may not be possible </edit>
  13. @Tingspain Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums ALl your existing Mac App Store and iPad Store purchases are available in the stores under in your library, and can be installed going forward, just not bought by others
  14. Sorry about the inconvenience, but it was the only way for universal licenses to function from Microsoft Store Mac App Store and the iPad Store simultaneously from one purchase. Also as a side effect it reduces piracy. If you go on YouTube you can find over 300 videos of cracked Affinity version 1 software with product keys. Without some call home piracy is impossible to stop. Please don't give up for the sake of a one off registration
  15. You may not move it manually, but you can install on as many computers as you control as the license allow with or without deactivating earlier registrations. Simply sign on to your Affinity ID on the new computer (which it goes without saying requires an internet connection, which was I think your point)
  16. That's not what I said, but you're welcome to ask for one, sorry that you think it's needed. Once installed the software is the important thing
  17. Nope, on Windows you can only have one of them installed at the same time. It's a restriction caused because they have the exact same name, and MSIX installers have to be uniquely named on any machine. So you can uninstall the Microsoft Store version and install the Affinity Store version sign in the the Affinity ID you registered the license to and therefore swap from one to the other. The reverse is also true (uninstall Affinity Store version and install the Microsoft Store one). That is WHY the Microsoft Store version is a free download, as you may have a product or universal license bought on another store Mac's have no problems with two applications having the same name, and that's why I said you can have both installed on macOS
  18. We have a huge backlog AND it's the weekend. You should get a response from staff in a few days. If you already have, they should come back to you if you are clear in that thread that your problems aren't resolved. Working with unzipped versions of the install is unsupported
  19. The first run each day will check for updates automatically. If you notice a patch (later in the day) you can manually check for updates, but it would have been found automatically the next day anyway.
  20. Furthermore once you have a license you can install BOTH macOS versions on the same device without issue
  21. Ah I see, your video was about undoing the dangerous permission changes, I already hid it. The one you edited was innocuous, as you say.
