  1. @fishingfox Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums i will have @DWright look into this for you and be in touch.
  2. I appreciate your explanation I was just clarifying our current position for others, I believe you already understood. This is very new for Serif. People like you making reasoned arguments will influence us going forward I'm sure.
  3. That's not a completely fair representation, as you only need to connect once and then never again on that device if you don't want to. We cannot take it away.
  4. Now: NO Future: UNDECIDED (perhaps Yes, but assume No)
  5. @dirkma Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums Sorry that you are having this difficulty I can see what has happened in your order and will get my colleague to contact you directly to resolve this quickly
  6. This is allowed under "Fair Comment", just showing a difference in approach, which is hard to show without the screenshot etc.
  7. @Pyanepsion I have reported this to the developers and would hope it can be addressed in an early patch. There are 2 problems here one the obvious lack of some larger paper sizes in the Architectural section, but also that Publisher 2's Document setup dialog also has the cut down shorter list of presets, which it should not do (Designer 2 has the correct list)
  8. @Courtney2 Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums Sorry I will hide my post as it may not be possible. Contact AffinityOrders@serif.com and mention this thread
  9. These forums are a delicate mix of user chatroom and customer support communication lines. As such people choose to tell Serif what they think, and we listen. Please don't tell them not to its part of the forums function That's lovely, more of this please, but perhaps in your own threads
  10. People who can download the MSIX for V2 (owners of a publisher 2 license on Windows or owners of a universal license) will be able to download and use the MSI instead. No extra cost over your V2 purchase
  11. I misspoke. Automatic checking, not automatically updated. My mistake, Walt is correct. Updates are prompted but optional and the chech can be turned off
  12. People sell V1 with their product key, but that key only works with their email address, so it feels like you are selling something personal. Serif didn't encourage it but it happens sometimes. The license agreement says it's not transferable
  13. Because of the way these windows shortcuts work, some will even work without the path, just use this in the path field. AffinityPhoto2.exe Draig, does this work for you?
  14. I'm struggling to do for you what I wanted to do, as I can no longer see V1 available on our system (it's been deprecated as an application). My plan was for you to buy Publisher V2, but to ALSO drop a license for Publisher V1 into your account, but I simply haven't found a way to do that yet, so didn't come back to the thread suggesting it. I'll see if anyone can suggest a way I can give you a macOS Publisher 1. If I cannot then I'm sorry to have wasted your time
  15. It will automatically update like V1 did, but each update will be a full size download, where MSIX updates are much smaller delta files
  16. Email AffinityOrders@serif.com I'm sure they have more experience of this than I and can help you
  17. This news will possibly help some in this thread, also posted here as an FAQ
  18. I'm head of QA.... My words have some meaning and Devs will be made aware
